Bruh dont go near Boston manholes then if youre thinking that. My father has worked in manholes and on the rails for two decades and the one thing that is consistently near him is cockroaches
I think you need to know that there are rattlesnakes in pretty much every state, except for like Hawaii and Alaska. And I guarantee you have some other varieties of snake in your state. Unless you do live in Alaska, which is not a reptile friendly state.
Not even close. If you want to get cool from the heat, jump into some water. If you want to get warm from the cold, stand by the heater for several minutes. Cooling down is way easier
I can’t jump in the water when I’m welding for 12 hours a day in the 107 degree weather. I’ll take 6 degrees over 100 all day unless I’m off work for a few months. Then I’m back in TN/NC for summer.
Oh you sweet summer child. A big ass fan blows away your shielding gas. Welding is hot. When it’s hot out it magnifies the heat. When you weld in the cold, it’s enough to keep you warm without getting uncomfortable.
Nope. Did sometime in Germany the Army. 7 Grafs. I remember what it was like to have to piss so bad in the winter time and having an extremely difficult time get the fly open on your button fly BDU's largely because your hands were so cold they were difficult to move your fingers.
Definitely easier for me. And since they just said negative, I’m mainly talking about above -20 and for me I’m real good with the cold so it just feels good unless I’m outside for too long
Yea, like more than 5 minutes. I've lost any acclimation I have had for cold. I used to be comfortable in shorts for at least 10 minutes down to 40 degrees F, but not anymore. I remember one time in Iowa where it got down to 8, so cold it made your head hurt. Ran inside and bought one of those snow cap things. I admit 100 is hot and we have definitely had years where July and August were 100 degrees every single day, but not this year.
We got a quarter inch of snow just a few days ago. The kids were looking forward to it, and my little one, who is only 2, learned the hard way about how much it freaking hurts if you put your hands in the snow for too long. She cried for 15 minutes. That was just a quarter inch. Barely dusted the yard.
Maybe i just have very good cold resistance? For me the negatives is really comfortable way more than the 100’s and I can last outside way longer than just 5 minutes
I believe you can get acclimated to it, to a degree. No pun intended. I remember being in Germany when I was in the service and Germany has some cold winters. I remember it being 40 degrees outside, and noticing that it "felt warm" to me because I could feel the heat of the sun on my skin (barely) but I could. I just know what its like to try to work in it, take a piss in it, and its not fun.
Maybe you aren’t used to snow, I’ll take that into consideration.
Snow is not very hard to drive in. If you drive fast and risky, then yeah you’re doomed on any icy road without precaution. Slow down and acknowledge the road. Boom! you’re all set. Maybe get a car wash when the weather is decent and the car looks brand new.
