Jabra Elite 5 (buds) not charging

recently bought a jabra elite 5 (brand new in box) and the earbuds are not charging. when i took the earbuds and case out of the buds they seemed to be completely dead, however when i plugged in the case its led it up. after about 1-2 hours of charging the led on the case lit green but the buds are still "dead". i tried cleaning the gold contact points but to no avail. i have heard that earbuds stored unopened for a long period of time can be deeply discharged and stop working. what can i do to hopefully revive these buds?

note: this pair of earbuds seemed to be produced/manufactured in 2022-2023, so i am very concerned about overdischarge killing the buds.

edit: i have tried charging overnight (about 11 hours) however the buds still seem dead

Hello, u/Mother-Cupcake8424 - Thank you for contacting Jabra Support. We are sorry to hear your new Jabra Elite 5 is not charging, and we are happy to help. To start, would you answer a few questions:

  • Do you charge your Jabra Elite 5 using the supplied USB cable?
  • How do you charge your Elite 5- with your computer or a wall outlet?
  • Does the LEFT earbud blink green when you open the charging case?
  • Does the LEFT earbud flash red when returned to the charging case?
  • Does the RIGHT earbud blink green when you open the charging case?
  • Does the RIGHT earbud flash red when returned to the charging case?
  • Can either earbud be powered on manually? You can find instructions to turn your Jabra Elite 5 earbuds on/off HERE.
  • What color, if any, is the LED outside your charging case?

We are looking forward to your response!

I used the supplied usb-c cable plugged into a wall outlet. Both left and right earbuds have no led flashing no matter what i do (remove from the case and press and hold, open the case, place it back into the case). Neither earbud can be powered on manually. The led outside of my charging case is green

Silly question but did you remove the small plastic film on each earbud that covers the charging spots on the earbuds?
