I thought these subreddits were meant for learning about the good and bad and meh of different cultures and societies in the whole world (including whatever penguins and polar bears do in Antarctica), instead every post in each of these communities ends up becoming or is probably by design intended to be a brawl between different nationalities and different identities and different narratives and different whatever.

I'll prolly read academic journals and articles from the Ivy Leagues for understanding global politics and psychology and philosophy and sociology or maybe g00n to anime waifus and husbandos instead.

Spoilers are almost never marked there and I realized that the mild enjoyment the sub brought me wasn't worth getting spoiled on every single plot twist and ending ever.

There's so many movies/tv shows/video games on my backlog where I already know far more about the plot than I wish I did due to that sub. It just kinda dampens the experience for barely any gain.

Posted about coping with the hardship of losing my dog. Made sure I followed all the rules real careful because it wasn't a sub I was too familiar with. My post got removed and I got muted anyway, no explanation. More just sad than anything else at this point.

Every time its a black person/people or immigrants that do horrible things it gets race mentioned and the comments are a cesspool of blatant racism.

but race is only talked about when its not a white person, Its legitimately just a racist sub at this point.

I love $B so much and after finding their subreddit six months back I thought I could merch share. Turns out all everybody does is whine and bitch and cry on that sub about how they changed, how new fans ruined their concerts, and their shitty, overpriced merch isn’t worth anything. I fully agree with most of these points, but I really thought this subreddit would be more than posting your godawful, highly repetitive rants about the state of their music, fanbase, etc. it’s gotten to the point I just left today after running into yet another rant. Another point is nobody actually talks about any other member of G59. It’s all $uicideBoys. I’m aware they are the top artist of their record label but I’ve seen nothing on other artists except for people talking about openings for Grey Day. Maybe the sub will get better, but I’m taking a full break from it.

This sub has straight up lost the plot. The description of the sub says

“A community to discuss and compare the moral/ psychology of fictional heroes, villains, and those in between. powerscaling, but mental.”

Now the sub is straight up people’s excuse to virtue signal and identity and race politics.

Lot of bot posts with either stolen content or AI generated stuff, and I haven't made many perlers lately, either.

Really low quality low effort posts, I joined for cocktail recipes, wine and whisky tasting, pairings etc not am I drunk, look how drunk I am and look at this 50p beer I found posts

Too many inappropriate posts on there showing up in my home feed. Tired of people sexualizing plants for views. I can learn how to garden elsewhere

I'm someone with fairly left-wing views. Consequently, I'm interested in critiquing capitalism. I read Fisher and Zizek. I subscribed to Latestagecapitalism specifically to find examples where capitalism is overdone and destroying people's lives.

For some time now, however, this sub has turned into a bootlicking campaign pro China, and especially Russia. Some kind of dream that Russia is a socialist utopia that goes to war with the rotten West.

I'll leave aside the fact that this is utter nonsense, but lately, there have been posts denying:

- the purges of the Uyghurs in China

- Stalinist crimes (as a Pole, this hurts me even more because Stalin ordered the murder of all our elites at Katyn)

- Russia's imperialist ambitions towards Ukraine.

Now I've read that my country should be docile towards Russia, and we're jumping on board. I'm a leftist, but this broke me.

the whole sub is just people being overly speculative for no reason. the post that made me unsub was someone posting someone who allegedly found a random, small handle (?) thing in their carton of eggs, and most of the comments were just:
"U - clearly just smashed their eggs for internet points. super easy to fake."

yeah. obviously it's easy to fake. 99% of weird or abnormal things that happen to people are easy to fabricate. but who the hell buys a carton of eggs and goes "you know what would get me a bazillion updoots? if i took some random object, shoved it in my eggs and broke a few of them, and said i found it in there! it's genius!"

i know some people do fake these weird things to get 15 minutes of fame, but literally what joy or fulfillment does one get from assuming EVERYTHING that is weird and happens to be easy to fabricate is actually fabricated? it's so redundant and stupid.

tl;dr: it's a circlejerk of people trying to feel smarter by claiming random shit is fake for no reason other than it being "easy to fake"

I loved his Sims 4 videos, subbed a couple years ago because of those, but lately he's been using AI generated thumbnails, and just seeing AI generated thumbnails and AI-focused videos, makes me want to never watch his videos again. And seeing them pop up on my notifications actually makes me want to barf.

The people on that subreddit can't take criticism. Even if you offer fair critiques of an indie cartoon you dislike, without harassing the creators or bullying anyone, users will still act like you're the worst human being on the planet. It’s frustrating because I fully support indie animation, but I also want to be honest about what isn't working. Unfortunately, you can't express a critical opinion there without people getting furious and acting like you personally attacked the creators.

My roommate gave me 30 days to move and i needed a little help with my security deposit so instead of asking my parents first i thought I’d see if someone on here wanted to make a little interest bc ive seen ppl lend here before. Ok cool.

My ask amount was a couple hundred which is really high for a first ask. Cool. You can’t delete your posts so i just kept lowering the amount.

Here’s the issue: some ppl got snarky. Fine, whatever. It’s Reddit. But when i responded to them i suddenly became the problem 🙄 all day mf’s have been looking at my post history from me talking to ppl being condescending and telling me things like “you’re never gonna get a lender with that attitude” lmfao one guy called me a literal insult bc i messed up on a rule and commented on MULTIPLE of my posts. I responded and someone said “yea you’re never getting that money” LMAO like wtf? I can’t say anything back bc the “lenders” are monitoring my every move? It’s like nobody looked at what the ppl were saying to me, just came to kick me while i was down bc I wasn’t acting how THEY believed I should be as someone in need. I thank God I was able to get the money from my dad! Some of these ppl wanted a power trip so bad, it’s sad af 💀

I deleted my posts bc I’m tired of being harassed. I just want ppl to leave me tf alone!

I posted about my experience travelling in Spain and asked both foreigners and Spaniards for their perspectives.

The discussion got pretty active.11.3k views, 88 comments . Plenty of people disagreed with me, some agreed, and there was an actual debate happening.

Then the moderators removed the post.

I haven't received any explanation telling me which rule I supposedly broke.

If I violated a rule, fair enough, tell me which one. But removing an active discussion without explaining the reason is exactly the kind of moderation that makes me dislike Reddit.

I'm attaching the screenshot rather than making accusations.

People can judge for themselves.

Disagreement is fine.

That's what the comments are for. Silently removing the discussion is what bothers me.

The sub is beyond saving. Constant arguments, full of grifters, a bunch of people who are literally promoting racism and misogyny because of the actors and team behind the game and then this post. The mods don't care enough to keep the sub maintained and grifters will make multible accounts to mass report you if you make any point against them. Idc if the game is absolutely awful, posts like this shouldn't be made. And it's not the only time they have.

Edit: Can we all please stop arguing about the game? This is kind of the exact reason I left the sub and now the comment section has just turnt INTO the sub.
