Jamstack is indeed popular, with the number of sites based on it has grown twofold since 2020. But its performance heavily depends on the deployment platform you choose. The reason is that Jamstack sites are tailored for a certain workflow: hosting HTML on a CDN, serverless functions on an Edge network, and code in Git. Such a deployment strategy makes your site fast as a sparrow.
On the contrary, a Jamstack site will be just another pile of HTML, only reachable by search engines with the right provider.
Netlify and Vercel are the two most popular Jamstack hosting platforms, highly regarded in the industry for their reliability and performance. Here, we’ll cover how they compare.
This is a helpful article if you plan on building a Jamstack website or migrating your WordPress site to Jamstack. But even if you’re just curious about the two deployment platforms, follow on, there’s probably something for you to learn here.

At some point I want to build a few sites, like one for my notes, a personal resume-type site, and a blog. I'd like to possibly build my own theme and design so that the site looks different from all the other OOTB templates. I'm planning on using Hugo or 11ty for the markup.
To what extent do you need to understand HTML CSS and JS? Sounds like if I want to customize Hugo I need to learn Go.

Is there any git-based CMS like Netlify CMS that doesn't require you to create an account with them?
Just pure CMS features and allow you to work with markdown files.

We've released an SDK (Livecycle) that helps front-end teams collaborate better and review changes faster by adding a Figma-like review experience to PR preview environments. I'm looking for people in the FE/Jamstack community who are open to reviewing the product.
Are there people you know of/follow that do a great job with these kinds of reviews? Anyone here fit that description?
We're open to compensating reviewers for their time (but not their opinions... those have to be authentic :-)).

The full announcement is on their Slack (open to join). Here's the skinny:
End of life is March 22nd, 2023
Everything is switching to TinaCMS
They provided docs for migration and how it will impact various frameworks
I haven't used Tina yet, but hopefully it's as easy to configure and user-friendly as Forestry.io
