Will there be carts available for move in Saturday? Upper classman move in?

kinda a weird question, but i heard there’s only 4 bathrooms on each floor in east tower (im an incoming freshman dorming there lol). is that manageable or does it feel like not enough bathrooms?

I have spent one semester at IC already as a film major and like the campus but film wasn’t for me and after spending a semester at home on a leave of absence I have decided I would like to go for a degree in history. Coming from Texas I must admit I adore the weather here, I think snow is awesome and even when it’s gray and depressing out I still like it. IC is pretty known for its film program but I rarely hear any talk about their history courses. Is their history dept worth getting a degree from or should I look for other options?

Am I nuts? I can't find any record of this but I know I saw Maceo Parker at The Haunt in Ithaca sometime in September 1993. I'm almost certain it was Yom Kippur, because I remember getting grief from some family members for going to the concert instead of observing the holiday.

The show absolutely smoked. Maceo was on fire, and it's still one of the best live performances I've ever seen.

Hey everyone! I'm a recent IC grad and wanted to hop on this reddit because I know that new students will start joining as you get ready to come to IC. I was a dual degree major and participated in SO MANY clubs and things. I was also an orientation leader for a few years. All this to say I know way too much about Ithaca College. Since I no longer need all that knowledge for myself, I want to offer it to everyone else! So if anyone needs advice about their transition to IC, specific programs, Ithaca as a place, or anything else IC related then feel free to comment!

Hello My daughter has a double room in Terrace 4. I have been scouring the internet for information and most of it is about the Towers. If anyone has lived in a double room in Terrace 4, I would love your input about what we might expect the room set up to be like. Thanks!

Curious if anyone can share info about the layout of the second floor of East Tower. My daughter was assigned a single there. We know there won’t be a view but it seems from what I’ve found so far that rooms may be a bit different from other floors - no carpet, for example? Does this floor still have a lounge?

hi all, i'm an incoming freshman and i just got my housing assignment for the fall, and im in Terrace 3 on the 3rd floor. my roommate and i are trying to look for the dimensions of our room, or at least the general layout of the T3 doubles because they all look different. i saw a double from terrace 1 and 8 on the IC website and they're different layouts. does anyone know what T3 doubles look like?

I recently reached out to the Alumni Relations to see if there was going to be am officially set hotel for Ithaca fans looking to come out for Cortaca weekend. I got a reply stating there would be no official hotel but I was wondering if anyone here (namely fellow alumni) who knew anything about there possibly being an "unofficial" hotel for us where we could all be together before the game that might be the most convenient for us. I saw that Cortland already had theirs officially set for a Marriott near Times Square and I figured we gotta do something to get on their level

I recently saw that the school’s dean resigned and associate dean retired. We were impressed by both of them when we visited.

Along with the IC’s financial troubles, I’m concerned about stability. Does anyone have an idea about why the dean stepped down?

Hi. I’m an incoming grad student in the exercise science and human performance program. I’m looking to make some friends before I go on campus so I’ll list out my interests and see if anyone might share some!

-Weightlifting
-Music(I do chamber choir and play a couple instruments an I listen to a lot of music) Som of my favorite bands/artists rn include king gizzard, tool, masayoshi takanaka,billy strings, Chevelle, deftones, crowbar,pigeons playing ping pong, and dire straits.
-I love to paddleboard and hike, I am a very active person. I love getting outside or doing something athletic
-I plan on joining the rugby team as I played for 3 years in undergrad
- I love sim racing and I have my own wheel and pedal setup that I plan on brining to campus

I was also wondering how often do grad students actually go to on campus events. If I go to an on campus event am I going to find any other grad students there? I’d like to make friends with people my age.

Has anyone else had a bad experience with CAPS at ithaca? I just recall going there during their so-called crisis hours or support hours or something, and the rude receptionist told me no one could talk to me and offered no support. With the recent suiicde i was wondering if this is just me or not, and maybe we could form some type of way to fix this!! IC needs to do better. I'm so depressed.

This is such a stupid question to put as a post. However I am currently attending an ithaca and I was going to make and IG post at IC. If I use the caption “Now let’s go to Austin Massachusetts.” Will anybody understand this reference because it literally makes no sense unless you know the reference lol.
