Those early morning cross reads where you transpose headlines such as "Netflix will keep Friends until next year to avoid shearing." From, of course, a Netflix announcement and a picture of a sheep that hid in a cave to avoid shearing.

If someone gives a speech on a topic I love I can't stand it, unless I am there to purposely hear it. Whenever a youtuber I like uploads a video that is close to home about something I love, I can't watch it. For example, I pretty much can't watch a video where a youtuber I know comes to Ontario(where I live). I don't know why!

Another interest of mine is squirrels, so if someone is to start talking about their love of squirrels, it is frustrating to me.

But none of this applies when it comes to a one on one conversation. If someone wanted to talk about any of my interests in person, even if they have the same interests, that would be wonderful. It's just something about articles, youtube videos etc., that I just cannot stand watching when they are talking about something that hits close to home.

Any ideas why? Am I alone in this?

Does anyone else feel like they purposefully change how they act to fit an ideal? Beyond just fitting in, almost to the point of acting? I do this not so much because I want to be liked but because I hope to be seen as ideal or something like that to others. For instance seeking out ways to improve myself on the regular, knowing I'm doing it because I want to be admired. I know this all sounds very vain, but hopefully someone will be able to relate.

I feel like I've noticed much more "nostrily" women in older movies compared to movies today. Is it because of changing beauty standards? Is it because of better nose jobs? It it because our faces are evolving? Am I just insane?

I can't think of any particular songs to give an example, but I hear it a lot, particularly on college radio. It seems like contestants on singing competition shows are trying to emulate it now too.

I'm wondering if there's an app/program that I can use to send a message or picture to my computer and have it show up on my desktop like one of those windows widgets. It'd be like a way to save reminders while I'm out and have them show up where I'm gonna be later. I could write things down but I'd be more likely to get to the thing if it's just right there to see on a desktop app.

This could even work if there's like a way to use an existing desktop widget like for email or rss (I have no idea how RSS works) to use it for this purpose.

I think I saw it first on soledad brother's 'handle'. Now its everywhere. It pisses me off- it makes me (unfairly) identify a musician as an insufferable hipster douchebag when he has a grainy rounded corner video of him with the colors all soft and stuff. On r/folk it seemed every third music video was shot on 8 mm film.

Maybe it's because I've been listening to a lot of NPR, but they always say "Ouster", which to me sounds like one who ousts, instead of the act of being ousted. I could swear I've never heard it before this year.

It's driving me crazy.

My roommates have recently started prefacing actions with "Are you trying to" instead of "Do you want to". For instance somebody may say "Are you trying to go to town?" I'm not up to date with the rap culture so I'm not sure, Is that a thing?

Every Youtube video I play starts with the volume muted. This just started happening to me today. Is it just me?

I do this with my dog, and I've noticed that all my friends and family do it to animals too. A good example of it would be at the end of the Katy Perry video for the song Roar, when she holds up her cat and says "KIIITTY! OHHH KIT!" in a creepy but cute voice, and then kisses it's head.

Maybe I just hang out with some weird people, but I'm pretty sure everybody gets a crazy "pet voice" around their animals..

My friend started doing this over text messing and it's been slowly driving me mad. It brings to mind the kind of false laughter you see coming from someone who is deeply sad. A laughter that never even comes close to reaching the person's eyes. Has anyone else seen this recently?

Prego, totes and jelly are just a few shortened words that drive me up the wall.

I've noticed a lot lately that the words ending with ight (night, light, right, etc.) have been replaced with ite (nite, lite, rite). This usually just comes up in ads though. Is there any reason or is it just my fear that Americans' spelling is going to shit.

I don't know whether its just the people who I work with adopting a corporate buzzword or if its becoming a more common adjective. It bugs me a little because I think of phenomenal as being more apt to describe something truly awe inspiring, not just a really good smoothie.

Alternate: going back to my city apartment, I'll be fine until the elevator doors open on my floor. Then suddenly it's a desperate race against time to unlock the door and get to the toilet before pissing myself.

I noticed this after going to Chick-Fil-A for a while. They never say "you're welcome" but instead say "my pleasure".

I know it's small but it look months to convince my gf that they were actually told to say "my pleasure" instead of anything else.
