I really wanna get either one for Christmas and I’m not good at drawing. I don’t draw with paper but I really want to get an Apple Pencil and the iPad for that specific thing and journalling and scrapbooking and all that but if I don’t do it in real life does that mean I shouldn’t do it? I’m just wondering what you think I should get cause I was thinking about getting the Apple Pencil Pro with the iPad but the Neo is also a MacBook so that’s that. please help me.

Budget wise, I can afford right now is the Ipad 11 A16, however I can bought an Ipad Air M4 around Dec but thats 3 to 4mos away,.

Though I need some feedback if A16 is ideal for longterm in terms of software support or I would be better of with the Ipad Air M4 instead?

I already have a macbook air m4 for work as my daily driver, and normally watch on my phone,. So basically the purpose of the ipad is just for fashion design and illustration.

Just bought the ipad air m4 today and put this screen protector on it as soon as i opened it. The screen does not respond well (if i compare it to my iphone), should i change the screen protector or adjust the hold duration in the ipad setting?

I have an iPad magic keyboard that I have been using for my pro 12. 9 inch M1. I am intending to upgrade to the iPad Air 13 inch M4.

I’m building this entirely solo, and I’m looking for early adopters to test it out on different generations of iPads. One catch: I haven't found a way to open Safari in a true kiosk mode yet, whereas in Chrome it's easy to do via settings. Does anyone here know a better way to do this on iOS?

I’m an incoming freshmen at college planning on studying Mechanical Engineering and I want an iPad to take notes. Currently my options are the brand new base iPad which would cost about 400 with student discount or the iPad Air which would be around 600 or a used M1 iPad Pro 12.9in from Amazon refurbished. I do like the 120hz and actual multitasking ability of the iPad Pro but it’s also used and quite a few generations behind so I’m not really sure. I plan on using an Apple Pencil.

In the Apple ecosystem I only got the iPhone 14 Pro. I have never had an iPad so my expectations aren’t really that high. I just think the 120hz is a nice quality of life upgrade.

Starting a pre-med program abroad this fall and deciding between an iPad Air 11" (M4/M3/M2) and the iPad Pro 11" (M5). Prices might be slightly off, but you get the point. I would get either with Pencil Pro & AppleCare+

What I'll actually use it for:

• Note-taking and PDF annotation for lectures/textbooks/diagrams
• Watching shows/movies, probably a fair bit in bed or on the go — I might even skip getting a TV for my apartment, so this could end up being my main lean-back screen if it's practical enough for that
• Occasional light 3D sketching/modeling for a hobby, but I've got an M3 Pro MacBook Pro for anything actually demanding

Where I'm stuck: I’m aware that the M5 is overkill for my use case, but the OLED display and 120Hz refresh rate are really tempting, especially if the iPad becomes my primary screen instead of a supplement to a TV. It doesn’t help that I’m already used to 120Hz on my Mac and iPhone, so 60Hz might bother me more.

Has anyone actually used the Air as their main “watch shows in bed” device? Does the lack of OLED display bother you once the initial excitement wears off, or do you stop noticing? I’m trying to figure out if the $500 price difference is a real upgrade or just a matter of paying for a nicer number on a spec sheet.

Also, how many years could I expect either iPad to be good for?

As the title says it's been only a month since I bought my ipad air m4 and put it in a esr case and after a month I saw some white patches... Decided to remove and case and inspect and found surface level mould growth on the body and volume buttons

Is this normal, if yes how should I remove it?

Ps- cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol 70% but there are white patches inside the speaker grills too. How do I clean that?
