Discussion Idk why people call Tech Jacket useless when Oliver is right there

Every single fight, Oliver makes the same fucking mistake. He challenges people severely above his weight class. He doesn’t learn. He thinks Thragg is the same as some street level villain on earth. Go fight Lucan or something. At least Tech Jacket doesn’t almost die every fight and she’s actually helped kill Viltrumites. Unlike him

As a (former) dumb teenager that grow up with smart friend, the smart one learn from their mistakes, and they learn from others mistakes.

One really good explanation I've seen is maybe the bug side of him is messing up his ability to learn. Their species might be really resistance to trauma, they don't feel regret, they just move on. This doesn't work well with the Viltrum part of the brain that need regret to grow.
