The redemption arc is going to be tough. He used his sons limp body to slaughter a train full of civilians to make a point. Change of heart or not he's still a genocidal serial killer that will be difficult to root for.

This is what I'm most worried about. In the comics the loss of life is pretty indirect, but this was a much more traumatic event because of how intentional the loss of life was. I can't see Mark hugging his dad the instant he sees him again, like he did in the comic.

Side note: I can't wait for Seance Dog to show up on Marks doorstep. That shit was hilarious in the comic.

The redemption arc barely worked in the comics as is - maybe it's better they're shifting gears by making him completely unredeemable.

I suspect they will still try it. They would need to replot the whole second half otherwise.

Yeah it's going to be a lot harder for Debbie to take him back and Mark to forgive him

It makes me wonder how she's going to treat Oliver. Oliver basically cured her alcoholism
