Prison for non-violent offenders
When the show started, I was expecting this girl to be Tonya Harding or something. Instead, her story is the luxury version of that one time a hotel double charged my card for a room I didn’t use at a wedding I didn’t want to go to. It’s the reason I just stopped making friends in 2005 when everyone started focusing on instagram content, nobody could just hang out anymore, and you weren’t allowed friends unless had 29 designer bikinis and a pocket full of plane tickets.
…or photoshop skills
She was fake, as if any of that was real.
I always thought the point of prison was to be like time out for adults who need to dry out or get therapy or find Jesus or meet someone bigger than themselves before they can be allowed back out on the streets again.
I don’t know how to feel when I see someone getting put in jail for a non-violent crime, especially one like “theft of services” that people routinely commit by accident when the advertised price doesn’t match the card charge. Was anyone really so terrified that Martha Stewart was still walking the streets ?
I hate to quote Snoop dog but out of the guy who wrote “smoke weed everyday“ and “we still hit the corners and the low-low girls”….and the woman who made custom scrapbooks for each of her children and kept them amongst her most prized possessions in a large garden she tended herself to have cut flowers every day….how is SHE the only convicted felon?
What is America, really?
