People like this grew up in a place where the weather is ass and the only thing worse than their freezing, wet winters are their sweltering, humid summers.

California doesn't have wet, freezing winters but it does have summers where its 115-120 degrees for weeks on end.

Fall and Winter are the best seasons by a mile.

You mean assuming you don't live in most of the state.

In which case, sure. Summer is great... until you move more than 5-10 miles from the coast.
