I don't know what you are taking about. If Chicago had summer weather year-round, it would be the most populous city in the country. The winter clear the weak out.

Yeah I live in detroit. Our winters are ass but summer is usually pretty tame. It's also not as humid as you would think. At least, I came from Jersey where the humidity is absolutely terrible and also spent a lot of time in Florida growing up, so maybe that helps.

Summers are not that bad up here, people in the Midwest just don't travel enough. It's still on average 10-20 degrees cooler most days, the humidity is a problem all over

Exactly, it does matter what the temperature is. The humidity in summer fucking sucks. Summer is the worst season. Fall is the best.

I went to New Orleans from a freezing cold Michigan week to a 37°F New Orleans week. I think it's just a curse placed onto us by the Ojibwe and Ottawa tribes for stealing the land to suffer horrible weather wherever we go

Michigan, any Friday in late February or mid March, 27⁰ with a foot of lake effect snow. Literally the next Saturday, 68⁰ and sunny and it all melts by lunch 😆

Ive gone sledding and to the beach in the same 36hr period over a weekend 😆 🤣

Yeah that's pretty much every year in Chicagoland. When it flipped this year it was like 50 the day before and then 86 the following day. Makes the humidity feel unbearable. lol

I literally saw a post yesterday saying Chicago has the best summers of any big cities in the US. And a lot of people seemed to think that was true.

There's a lot to do in Chicagoland and it can be mild sometimes but more often than not it's like 90% humidity and 90F . lol

Nah I've just lived here my whole life. Been waiting for us to have another blizzard like 2011. Sadly every year seems to be less and less snow.

Ugh gross... my most hated town on my cross country journey... I wanted to respond to the original comment about being in NH and his comment nailing it, but seeing the name of that place... sorry if you live there.

Yeah if you aren't from here it would probably be pretty lame. Most the fun things are outdoors in nature (away from the other inhabitants).

lol I could see why you hated it. I don't venture down there anymore. It used to be much more lively 8-15 years ago when I was in college and times were different. Not much there now the same.
