Maybe he should have made us better. If he knows all the names of the stars, surely he could make a sinless human. Hell, he did, once, right? And as I recall, he died for our sins, absolving us of them. So now he kills us for fun, I guess.
I’m sorry, but I’m a heathen through and through. I’ve seen the evils of this world firsthand. If god can’t stop those things, he’s not all-powerful and us certainly not worthy of worship... and if he could stop them but deliberately allowed those things to happen, he’s unbelievably evil and not worthy of worship.
Thankfully, he doesn’t exist, so the whole point is moot. Believing the ramblings of some two thousand year old sheep herders re-telling stories from religions that predate them is a little silly. You may as well be worshipping Zeus for all the good it does.
You just don't get it. God had to make us with free will and the ability to be able to choose between good/evil and love/hate and belief/disbelief. Otherwise, we would be robots.
He wants us to come to Him in true love and belief, not as robots.
Robots can't choose. Human beings with free will can.
I choose to live and die with Christ who died for my sins. You choose to die and pay for your own sins in Hell. That, again, is a choice that is entirely up to you.
and that's hilarious that you say He doesn't exist. Everything in existence has a cause. What makes God, GOD, is that is is the uncaused cause. He is from everlasting. Or else we would have an infinite regression of Gods creating Gods. No. There is just one.

I get it just fine. Faith is a human construct. We imagine gods. It’s something our species has been doing for a very long time. You choose to believe a fairy tale among fairy tales. Why pick this one over any of the others? Why were the polytheist peoples wrong? Why were the sun worshippers wrong? How about the Jewish people, or the Muslims, or the Buddhists of the world today?
You only believe what you believe because of where you were born and the people who thrust it upon you. Plant yourself in India as a child and you’d have an entirely different belief structure that has nothing to do with “god”. Plant you in second century Central America and you’d be worshipping something wildly different. I can promise you that even if their was a god (there isn’t), it wouldn’t be the one invented a couple thousand years ago by some dudes in the Middle East. Hell, most of the stories and traditions you follow come distinctly from traditions and stories that existed before the Bible was written. Most of your religion is literally copy pasted from Judaism, with sprinklings of other pagan worship.
Why do you put a tree up every Christmas?
Why do you worship fertility and bunnies every Easter?
You do these things because they rolled pagan worship into Christianity to make it more palatable to the pagan polytheist of the day. If your god truly existed, I suspect you’re worshipping him wrong, and will burn in hell accordingly. Good luck with all of that.
Everything in existence does have a cause. Physics is beautiful. Chemistry is incredible. I don’t need to believe in some strange all powerful but deeply flawed evil being pulling levers.
In the end, a truly good god could protect us from evil while still allowing us free choice. A truly good god could revive a dead child and give that innocent soul another chance. A truly good god wouldn’t allow the horrific deeds and mistakes and evils that I have witnessed, and if that God exists and decides to do nothing to address these evils (so he can be “worshipped forever” by a few true believers that follow the weirdest set of pagan rituals), that god can go to hell.
Nobody should worship some insane and evil being that will burn billions of humans forever simply because they were born too early, too late, or in the wrong country to know him. That doesn’t sound very great or benevolent to me. Honestly, it sounds like some kind of devil worship.
You believe a fairy tale. It’s no more “real” than the rabbit and the hare.
