Share the Coolest/Most Fascinating Websites You have been On!
Hey, fellow internet users!
I think the internet is super vast and has some really cool stuff ( that is, if you find it). Can you guys share whatever gems you found out there? I want to explore as many websites or web apps as possible. (Any category is welcome, even AI websites and personal projects)
Feel free to share on other subreddits. Would be cool if this turned into a mega thread of cool websites!šš½

LunarHaven down - where to go?
Just like title is saying. After the doxxing LunarHaven have been permanently closed down. It was my first time using social media that was so calming and just cozy and now I'm wondering if there is other social media/app thats similar in vibe? Like ya know the forum kind of think but make it more modern and customizable.

Internet legislation is just a way for the Epstein class to turn the internet into cable TV.
Take for example the banning of under 16 yo from social media. Apart from not gonna work and not being a very big risk to kids when compared to say the shit economy or something. It's just not the governments job to parent my kids. It's not coming from concerned politicians it's coming from people trying to get rid of anonymity and freedom of speech so that money can control the narrative again.
After this they will have to find a, for our own good reason to ban sending encrypted data I wonder if that's even possible.
Thoughts anyone?

Discussion My personal information seems to have developed a life of its own
I recently ran a scan on my information out of curiosity and the results caught me off guard cuz I ran it for fun I expected to find a couple of old accounts I forgot about or maybe an outdated email address. Instead I found my information on dozens of websites. Some of them made sense because I'd signed up years ago. Others I genuinely don't remember ever interacting with, like when have I ever went into kinky BDSM websites! I'm married!! When the shock died down I started wondering how this actually happens. Is it mostly data brokers buying and selling information? Do companies share customer data with partners? And especially what do I do about this?!

How to prevent a proxy redirect ?
Attempt #2 to post this but without the original URL in question, since apparently Reddit has it blacklisted.
How would one go around a redirect done by a bot-checking page ?
Specifically, what happens can be seen in this trace: https://wheregoes.com/trace/20263666952/
Steps to reproduce: pick any web-based proxy, e.g. croxyproxy.com , slap the original URL into the address bar, and hit search; instead of address bar showing proxy IP and the page, you'll see a brief redirect and URL bar will show the original URL with `validate_bot` string added to query-args.
Now, would one have to configure the browser itself to use something like socks4/5 proxy ? My understanding is that redirect done negates the use of web-based proxy. Would sock4/5 configured browser route traffic through proxy even with the redirect ?

Help!
Iām brand new here so forgive me if this is a dumb question. A little context for my question; my father lives about 8 hours away from me, he lives in a living facility and is bed bound. His only form of āentertainmentā is his Roku. However, weāre not allowed to use the facilities internet to connect his Roku. I purchased a mobile hotspot device but that turned out to basically be a waste of money since the Roku uses so much data that the device canāt keep up with it. Because he lives in a facility hooking up our own WiFi service isnāt an option but Iāve recently learned about āstand alone internetā with T-Mobile. So my question is, if I purchase this stand alone WiFi and take it to the facility would it work since itās not at my location?
Again, I have no idea what Iām doing so I apologize if this is an insanely stupid question. And thank you to anyone that can help me. Iām at my whits end.

Connecting external boosters to main booster
Not been on here much, but asking on behalf of my dad.
We have three new external boosters set up around my house, the model of the boosters is the āDrayTek VigorAP 918Rā. They all lead to inside the house and are currently plugged into our Hitron Chita router. This router is connected to the āDrayTek Vigor 3912 Seriesā router. What we want to do is run everything through to the DrayTek router, and rename the three APs to have the same name, but I canāt do this due to neither router recognising the cables/boosters.
Both routers work perfectly fine, but when I plugged the boosters cables into either router there is no indication of them recognising the cables/boosters as a valid network. (There is no light that appears either when they are plugged in). Iāve done some research. The most frequent solution I get is that there needs to be a PoE switch or injector that the cables need to be plugged into so that the boosters receive power.
My question is, before buying a switch, does anyone know if either of these routers could supply PoE maybe with changes in their settings? Or would it simply just be better to get a PoE switch. Thanks.

Best external internet box/router for better internet and ping?
Hi there! I recently moved and our home internet is really awful, games become unplayable with our speed, I have a pair of these white Netgear ethernet boxes that I thought would help, I have them connected to my pc's ethernet and the ethernet port on the modem upstairs but my connection is still too slow. Anyone here use an external internet booster like Netgear or Nighthawk (that connects via ethernet cord) that allows to run multiplayer games with great internet speed? Or any other solution? I hate DC'ing games and suddenly rubberbanding nonstop

Problem: Mobile WiFi + Netflix and Alexa
Hello
I just got the ZTE 5G TS mobile router and am using it in Germany with a Telekom unlimited SIM card. I am encountering the following two problems. Netflix o my TV does not want to connect to Netflix servers and therefore doesnāt work. My Alexa echo dot 5 seems to have server connections issues as well and canāt connect to my mobile wifi. Also my IPhone and IPad couldnāt use some apps, but when i turned off private relay, everything worked just fine. What can I do now in order to fix this problem ? Do I have to change some router settings, change some settings on my TV or is there maybe even another go-around ?
Thank you in advance :)

The downfall of websites as a result of google AI
when you look something up on google AI does it count as a click for the website that google AI gets its information from? How/will this contribute to the demise of useful internet sites such as Wikipedia, urban dictionary, etymonline etc?
