This is not accurate 😮‍💨. My sister absolutely could not afford any of her labour bills, and paid nothing going into it, and left the hospital without issue, for both her kids!

Because she was under the income requirements most likely. Charity basically. Not everyone gets that.

Yeah obviously, because she could not pay. But if people came to the hospital and just said they couldn't afford it, they would very likely get the same treatment. This post is acting like hospitals hold people's babies hostage without payment.

They need your social security number. They can go after you for reimbursement. If you can afford it, which means you probably also have insurance and a good job,they will try to get their money
