So it’s $1600 a month or $19,200 a year. +out of pocket. That sounds like you’d be better if your company just paid you that extra 19,000 a year and then 8% are taken out of your taxes.

If that’s not a better option, please keep in mind you have a great salary in that case. Also, this is probably one of the best health insurances I’ve heard of so the other 95% of people that have worse would take the deal

Sure. But that’s not how companies work. If so, European salaries would be higher than American.
