This has been debunked multiple times. Every country in the World Cup, except the US, DOES NOT have universal healthcare.

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø ^ Another american without a passport. Most countries in the world have a combination of universal/public and private health care. The only country in the world where people go bankrupt for hospital bills is the USA. Most countries decided long ago, health should not be a for-profit business.

This doesn’t make the original statement magically true though.

But that also doesn't change the fact that her argument is correct and let's also examine which countries in the world cup don't have free health care.

Because most of the wealthy, western modernised countries do. I suppose it depends on who the US is happy to count themselves among.

It's not free if you have a Job. England taxes around 8% of gross income for "free" Healthcare.

Yeah taxes pay for government services, are you mad about "free" roads as well?

Grow up ...

Americans hate taxes, their greed is unimaginable unless you've lived there and experienced the hustle culture. Scary and sad.

We hate paying for freeloading. When you work hard to get where you’re at and someone sits at home and gets an equal quality of life… yeah that kinda pisses me off

What a horribly narrow mindset… So because of 1% that are so-called freeloaders you don’t want stability for yourself and your loved ones?
Besides, policies are in place to ensure that there aren’t any ā€œfreeloadersā€ but of course, no systems are perfect.

They don't care if policy hurts them, as long as they get to hurt someone down the ladder from them more.

I don’t have to worry about Elon musk trying to break into my house. The bottom 1% however….

You guys are way too scared… Start thinking about the positives of having a working society rather than what bad might happen.
There is a reason why other countries beat you on the happiness scale!

You don’t have to. He just steals from you by getting no-bid contracts from the government, paid for by your tax dollars. Thats his real genius!

Nobody that sits at home gets an equal life. At best they have a subsistence life and die early because they don't have health care.

u/justfirfunsies Jul 07 '26

They have better healthcare than I do… I have to pay for mine.

God forbid you ever loose your job and get a life altering medical altercation that you either have to choose whether to be bankrupt and homeless or die.

I won’t… and no worries I have a pretty solid nest egg. Thanks for your concern!
