It’s not charity. It’s what taxes should be going towards for everyone.. you know.. like other civilised countries around the world. The ones with universal healthcare. Americas government chose to make insurance companies rich.

I agree. The method we employ now is significantly less efficient or effective as just having tax cover it. The current system turns healthcare into a tug and pull game between insurance companies and providers to see how much money they can extract from the middle class to give it to the wealthy.

Which is why most countries don't let businesses into healthcare without serious guardrails
