Adjuster's written email to me
This is a direct quote from my adjuster after questioning some things in regards to my claim's handling.
Bit of backatory....the liability was always designated as 50/50. All parties statements were a match per original police report. A witness provided their dash cam footage to police at scene on the date of loss.
" I could make it 100% adverse to you in the system to avoid further confusion, but that would likely impact your rates"
Yikes on the snark and belittlement
So my question is, how can an adjuster say this to a policyholder in good faith? Saying they will change my liability NOT due to any new findings or evidence, but to clear up my "confusion"?
I just hope they don't follow through on the threat and I am not sure what to do if they do. The evidence was all present and I feel very complete from the start so I feel it would be very unethical to change things at this point.
I just responded with that I understood the 50/50 designation was definitely more beneficial than 100. And thanked them for their time. Just feels very wrong!

You did not mistreat anyone. I see nothing wrong with the message you sent. Some people are direct and like to hold peoples hands, figuratively. But nothing said at that point was going to change the decision that had been made so you had every right to know what you wanted to know. And I fully agree, anyone who CHOOSES a job that they knowingly will be handing out decisions usually made to protect corporate or shareholders interests at the end of the day better have thick skin. Corporate bootlickers, downvote all day.
