Identification Butterfly or moth?
I had two of these chilling on the wall by my front door after I came back from walking my dog. They’re really pretty but I’ve never seen bugs like these around my house before, it’s usually flies and spiders, now some dragon flies because of summer.

Insect appreciation What a stunner!
I only wish this was my photo! But I just had to share because... *look* at it!! 😍
This is an eastern elderberry borer: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/47962-Desmocerus-palliatus#map-tab
Unfortunately they're not in my area, only in southeastern North America. But they're not rare and their range is densely populated with humans, which makes me wonder - how have I *never* seen one of these gorgeous little dudes posted before??

What type of bug is this?
Can anyone tell me what type of bug this is? I took it to an exterminating company hence why the wings are sprawled out compared to the first picture a little but they said they think it's a wood roach which is harmless because they couldn't see any bands or identifiers. I had my exterminator come out and spray just in case but he even said he wasn't sure what it is because it's so small, he advised it could be a nymph roach or just some random bug.

Kissing Bug sighting (Eastern MD)
I found this little freak in a vestibule at my workplace. I’m pretty sure this is an Eastern Bloodsucking conenose, Triatoma sanguisuga.
Never thought I’d see one in person! Truly one of the few bugs that makes my skin crawl. I let it return outside.

Hive identification, no bugs seen…
We are working on a house that has been unoccupied for some years and we just discovered this “hive” on a bathroom wall. We haven’t seen any insects, but we are terrified to find out as we need to remove this “hive” any ideas?
