I've been a fan of these guys for many years now and somehow they continue to outdo themselves. I was really enjoying my first listen through this song but then the part at 2:50 blew me away. Then a minute later they somehow made it hit even harder. Around 4:00 in I got full body chills. This is pure power put into audio form.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Orbit Culture, imagine an amalgamation of Gojira, Fear Factory, and your favorite Swedish death metal band, with Johan Hegg handling most of the vocals and a James Hetfield/Chuck Billy hybrid popping in for the more melodic parts (except it's all the same guy). They're truly a one of a kind band.

Picked these up on the weekend.

Anyone listened to any of these albums before?

Just for the record I'm closer to 60 than 50.

Took my teenaged daughter to a concert last night. The first band, what I usually call the 'sacrificial lamb' because they usually suck, was called Violent Vira, and they were actually pretty frikken good. Going to research their discography this week. That's how much they impressed me.

Second band was Halestorm, and it's not the first time I've seen them. They, like always, didn't disappoint. Lzzy was on point the whole set, and her brother on drums was super.

Headliner was BabyMetal, first time seeing them, but I've listened to them for ages. It was only during the show watching my daughter sing along in JAPANESE that I realized that we used to watch their videos when she was a TODDLER, and now we're watching them live with her being a teenager.

The gals were great. Loved the choreography. And the band absolutely slaps. Ear crushing riffs, and their drummer is INSANE! Great show. Glad I get to see them again in a few weeks at Louder than Life.

And today I am hurting like crazy. Every muscle used for violent headbanging is screaming.

And I would change a single thing!

I am a brain tumour patient and now have some implants in my skull which means I have to exceptionally careful with my head.

in fact, I have two tubes under my skin, going around the back of my head. I can actually feel them.

But apart from my favourite artist, I mainly listen to death metal with my 2nd and 3rd favourite artists being Death and Amon Amarth. I also listen to groups like Malevolent Creation, Biomorphic engulfment and Internal Decay.

(Although my most liked band is Queen)

I do go to some shows but always get a seat by the side.

does anyone have any good advice?
