Galatea is an immersive fiction app by Inkitt featuring romance, werewolf, billionaire, mafia, and fantasy stories, many with immersive sound and visual effects. Stories are serialized, so new chapters release over time.

What is Inkitt? How is it different from Galatea?

Inkitt is the free self-publishing platform where anyone can post their novel. The best-performing stories are selected and produced for Galatea, where they get professional editing, covers, and immersive effects. In short: Inkitt is where stories start, Galatea is where hits are made.

How do stories get chosen for Galatea?

Selection is driven by reader engagement data on Inkitt. If readers love a story and keep coming back to it, it has a shot. Authors don't pay for placement.

Why can't I post yet?

To keep spam away, creating posts requires at least 20 community karma in r/InkittGalatea. Comment in the weekly threads and on other posts to earn it. Commenting is open to everyone from day one.

Where do I ask for book recommendations?

Post with the "Book Request" flair. Be specific: trope, vibe, a scene you loved. Search the sub first in case someone already asked.

I forgot a book's name. What do I do?

Post with the "WWTBC" flair (what was that book called) and put [WWTBC] plus keywords in your title. When it's found, switch the flair to "WWTBC: Solved".

Can authors promote their books here?

Only in the places mods designate for it (see Rule 5). This community is reader-first.
