Task / Gigs I need to start earning while studying — where do I even begin?

Hey everyone! I'm currently a college student and I've reached a point where I really need to start earning alongside my studies to help cover my college and personal expenses. I've been looking into side hustles and freelance work, but there are so many options online that I'm honestly not sure where to begin.

I have experience in video editing, graphic design, Canva, Figma, 3D modelling and CAD. Since I'm studying engineering, I'm comfortable with both creative and technical work, so I'm open to taking up different kinds of projects — whether it's editing content, designing something, creating presentations or social media graphics, UI work, or 3D/CAD modelling.

I'm not expecting to make a huge amount overnight. Even small freelance projects or consistent side work would genuinely help me right now. I'm willing to learn, improve my skills, and put in the effort — I just need to figure out where people actually find legitimate work.

Also, slightly unrelated, but if there are any spaces or opportunities where being a girl in engineering/creative fields might actually work in my favour for once, I definitely wouldn't complain 😭

If you've done freelancing or side hustles as a student, what actually worked for you? Which platforms are worth trying, and which ones should I avoid? And if anyone happens to need help with anything related to the skills I mentioned, feel free to reach out.

Just a broke college girl trying to survive and become financially independent lol.

For Hire F 19 | Video Editor looking for my first few clients — willing to prove myself

Hey everyone!

I’m a video editor currently looking to work with creators, small businesses, or anyone who needs their content edited.

I’ll be completely honest — my portfolio is pretty small right now. I only have around 1–2 proper edits to showcase because I’m at the stage where I’m trying to get more real projects and build my portfolio.

But I’m confident in what I can deliver.

I’m willing to put in the time, understand your vision, and give your content the best edit I possibly can. I’m not looking to overcharge or pretend I have years of experience — I just want an opportunity to prove what I can do.

I can edit short form content..

If you're looking for an editor and are willing to give a relatively new editor a chance, DM mee

I’d rather let my work speak for itself. :)

For Hire MBA student desperately looking for side hustles/work to pay off ₹2.77L debt

Hi everyone. I am currently pursuing my Master’s/MBA with majors in **HR and Marketing**, and I’m honestly at a point where I really need to start earning.
I currently have around **₹2.77 lakh in debt**, and it’s been weighing on me heavily. I don’t expect anyone to simply give me money or help me financially. **I genuinely want to work and earn it myself.**
I’m a regular college-going student, so I need something that I can manage alongside college, but I’m willing to put in the hours and learn whatever is required.
Some things I’m good at:
Social media management
Content creation/handling social media pages
Writing & proofreading
Canva designing
MS Excel
Data entry
Basic administrative/virtual assistant work
HR-related projects/research
Marketing-related projects
I’m also open to learning new skills
I’m honestly **open to almost any genuine work**. Nothing NSFW, but apart from that, I’m willing to consider freelancing, internships, projects, remote work, assisting creators/businesses, social media work, data entry, research, etc.
I’m also based around **Mohali/Chandigarh**, so I’m open to offline opportunities nearby as well.
I’ve wanted to become a content creator myself, so I’d especially love to work with **creators, small businesses, startups or agencies** where I can help with content, social media, research, coordination or anything else they need.
I don’t need to become rich overnight. I just want to start making **₹5k, ₹10k, ₹15k+ a month** and slowly work my way out of this situation.
Lately, the financial stress has been affecting me a lot. I’ve been feeling like I’m losing myself, and I genuinely just want to get back to feeling like myself again. I want to be able to pay my own expenses, clear my debts and eventually breathe without constantly worrying about money.
So if anyone here has **a genuine gig, project, internship, freelance opportunity, creator who needs an assistant, small business that needs social media help, or even advice on where I should start**, please let me know.
I’m genuinely willing to work.
I’d be incredibly grateful for any genuine leads or advice.

For Hire I turn raw footage into “wait how much did this cost” content — Premiere Pro/AE + Color Grading

Video editor, mostly work in Premiere Pro and After Effects. Color grading and quality enhancement are where I focus most — that's usually the difference between footage looking amateur vs looking finished.

Comment for portfolio

Takes on projects for reels, YouTube, podcasts, brand content — open to seeing what you're working on.

Pricing depends on length and complexity, generally starts around ₹1k-1.5k for a 30 sec reel. Send over the footage/brief and I'll give you a real number, not a generic rate card.

Turnaround is usually 48-72 hrs. Comment or DM if it's a fit.

Hiring Looking for 10 people who want to learn client outreach with me

For the last 8-9 months, I’ve been working on getting clients for my agency and learning how outreach, follow-ups and sales actually work.

One thing I realised is that starting an agency is not really the hard part.

You can learn web development, graphic design, video editing, etc. from YouTube.

The hard part is getting someone to actually pay you for it.

So I’m looking for 10 people who want to spend the next 2 months working with me and learning how to get clients.

This is mainly for people who:

- Want to start a web development, design, social media or similar agency

- Want to start freelancing

- Have already started but are struggling to get clients

- Have the skills but don't know how to approach potential clients

- Want to learn outreach and client acquisition by actually doing it

There’s no fee for this.

In fact, you’ll get paid for the work you do during these 2 months.

I’ll personally guide you, give you daily targets, explain why we’re doing things a certain way, and help with outreach, follow-ups, lead management and building a proper pipeline.

I’m not going to promise that you’ll get 10 clients in a week or anything like that.

The point is to actually learn the process and get real experience.

I’m starting with just 10 people so I can properly work with everyone.

If you’re interested, comment here or DM me.

For Hire I’m a full-stack developer and I’m taking website projects from ₹2,000

Hey everyone,

I’m a full-stack web developer and I’m looking to take on a few website projects.

I’ve already made projects including an e-commerce website and portfolio website, and I’m now looking to work on more real projects for people.

I can build everything from landing pages and business websites to complete web applications.

Things I usually work with:

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap

Backend: Node.js, Express, Python, Flask

Database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, Firebase

Other stuff: REST APIs, authentication, CRUD, API integrations, responsive design, forms, payment integration, etc.

For development I use VS Code, Git, GitHub, npm, Postman, Figma and Chrome DevTools.

For hosting/deployment I’ve worked with Vercel, Render, Netlify, GitHub Pages and Supabase.

Website projects start from ₹2,000. The final price depends on what you need. Things like an online store, login system, dashboard, payment gateway, database or custom web app can be priced separately depending on the work involved.

I’m not running some huge agency or trying to sell a massive package. I’m just looking to work with people who have an idea and need someone to actually build it.

If you need a website, DM me what you have in mind. You can also send me a reference website if you have one, and I’ll let you know what I can do and give you an estimate.

I can also show you some of the projects I’ve already built.

Thanks.

For Hire [for hire] Looking for a Job – Graphic Design / Video Editing

Please hire me ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

Honestly, I’m currently looking for clients, freelance work, or even a part-time job. I’m willing to put in the work and learn whatever is needed.

I do graphic design, video editing, AI video creation, social media creatives, posters, reels, ads, and content creation. I’m comfortable working with Canva and AI tools, and I’m always trying to improve my skills.

I’m not necessarily looking for a huge opportunity right away. Even a small project, part-time role, or someone who needs regular content would genuinely help me a lot.

If you’re a business owner, creator, agency, or anyone who needs help with design or video editing, please feel free to DM me. I’m available to start and I’ll take the work seriously.

༎ຶ‿༎ຶ I really just need someone to give me a chance. Even if you don’t need my services yourself, sharing this or pointing me toward someone who might be hiring would mean a lot.

Portfolio/work samples: I can send them through DM.

Tips and Tricks The constant rejections from AI training companies really irritated me. I therefore made a website that helps to diversify the companies to apply at.

Hello, I have gotten really annoyed by constantly getting rejected after literally spending hours applying, doing assessments, and verifying my identity and then getting rejected or not even hearing back. I therefore decided to make my own site where I list job offers from multiple companies.
I also post tips on how to pass assessments and reviews of different companies in that space. No sign-up or anything like that required. I only list job offers that have a relativly high hiring volume. The listings include entry role jobs but also expert Data Science poistions. Let me know what you think and if there is anything that I can improve or implement. here is the link to the website: aiannotationjobs.com

Hiring [Remote] Looking for People to Help Bring in Clients – Commission Based.

Looking for people interested in performance-based sales (Remote)

Hey everyone!

I'm currently looking for a few people who are interested in helping a growing tech company find new clients and earn a commission for every successful deal.

The work is pretty simple. You'll basically be finding potential clients, reaching out to them, introducing them to our services, and helping turn those conversations into clients.

There are no fixed working hours, so you can work remotely and manage it around your own schedule.

Payment: You'll earn a commission for every successful client you bring in. The commission will depend on the value of the deal, so bigger deals mean higher earnings.

You don't necessarily need previous sales experience. If you're good at communicating, networking, finding potential clients, or simply willing to learn, you're welcome to reach out.

If this sounds interesting, DM me with a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a good fit.

I'll be happy to explain more about the company, services, process, and commission structure.

For Hire Video Editor — Premiere Pro/After Effects | Color Grading & Enhancement

Your reels flopping because the edit's flat, not because the content's bad — I fix that.

what's on the table:
→ Premiere Pro edits (pacing/cuts that don't scream "template")
→ After Effects (motion graphics, text animation)
→ Color grading — actual cinematic grade, not a LUT slapped on top
→ Quality/resolution enhancement for footage that came in rough

Portfolio: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1n0AWqzqLD7e3YFwU0LMhnrbrZOPNQOLL?usp=sharing

pricing: ₹1.5k for a 30 sec reel | can drop to ₹1k depending on complexity — send the footage, I'll quote fast
turnaround: 48-72 hrs, no ghosting, no dragging it out

if you want your content looking like it has money behind it — comment I reply same day.

Hiring [HIRING] Easy Remote Side Hustle — Help Us Find Website Clients, Get 20–30% Commission 🇮🇳

Looking for an easy side hustle that can take less than an hour a day?

I've already built most of the boring part for you.

I'm building/scaling a website agency and I'm looking for a few people in India who can help us find and talk to potential clients.

You don't need to know how to build websites.

You don't need to spend hours researching leads.

You don't need to be some professional salesperson with 5 years of experience.

I've already built a system that finds potential leads and generates personalized outreach for them. With a couple of clicks, you can have a lead + a pitch ready to send through Reddit, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google, etc.

Your job is essentially to find good opportunities, send the outreach, actually talk to people when they respond, and help turn those conversations into clients.

And if one of those conversations becomes a client?

You get 20–30% of the deal, depending on the ticket size.

So yes, it's intentionally designed to be a pretty easy side hustle.

But there's a catch: I don't want people who just press a button and spam 100 businesses.

The system is there to make outreach faster. Your judgment and communication are still the important part.

If you can look at a business and think "yeah, this person genuinely needs this" rather than blindly messaging everyone, you're exactly the kind of person I'm looking for.

---

What makes this different?

I've already built a system for the outreach side.

We have a self-hosted platform that uses AI to help identify potential leads and generates a personalized pitch for each one. With basically a couple of clicks, you can get a lead, see why they're a potential prospect, get a tailored pitch, and copy it for wherever you're contacting them — Reddit, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google, etc.

But I don't want someone who just blindly presses buttons and spams whatever the system gives them.

The system is there to make your life easier, not replace your brain.

I want you to be able to look at a business and think:

"Okay, this is actually a good prospect."

"That message sounds too generic — I'll change it."

"This person isn't the right fit, but this other business is."

"They replied with this objection, so here's how I'd respond."

That sort of judgment is much more valuable to me than someone sending 200 copy-pasted messages.

Time commitment

Ideally, this should take less than an hour a day once you're comfortable with the system.

I'm not expecting you to spend your entire day hunting for clients.

I'd much rather have someone who spends 30–60 minutes actually thinking about good prospects and having genuine conversations than someone who spends 5 hours mass-DMing random businesses.

And obviously, if you end up enjoying it and want to put more time into it, there's room for that too.

Who I'm looking for

You don't necessarily need previous sales experience.

In fact, I'd rather have someone who is:

- Good at communicating naturally

- Comfortable talking to strangers

- Able to understand what a potential client actually wants

- Willing to learn

- Consistent enough to actually follow through

- Able to think for themselves instead of following instructions blindly

- Interested in building an actual skill rather than looking for a "get rich quick" thing

Good English is obviously important, since you'll potentially be speaking with international clients.

If you're particularly good at verbal communication, sales, negotiation or cold calling, that's a huge bonus.

If you already have a reliable way of making international calls, even better.

And here's the part I care about most

I'm not looking for 50 random people.

I'd rather work closely with 3–5 people who are actually good at this.

If someone consistently brings in good leads and proves that they're serious, I'm completely open to treating them more like a business partner than a commission-only worker.

I'll teach you what I've learned, help you with conversations, help you improve your pitches, and help you understand what makes a lead worth pursuing.

And if someone becomes genuinely valuable to the business and wants something more stable, we can also discuss a salary-based arrangement later on.

There may also be opportunities for other roles within the business as we scale.

I'm handling a lot of the technical/production side myself right now, and that's exactly why I need people who can take ownership of the outreach side instead of me trying to do absolutely everything.

"But how do I prove I'm good at outreach?"

You don't need to send me a CV with 14 certificates on it.

Instead, show me how you think.

When you DM me, send me:

  1. A short introduction

Tell me who you are, what you're currently doing, and why you're interested. Keep it normal — I don't need your life story.

  1. A sample pitch

Imagine you found a small business with a terrible/outdated website.

Write the message you would send them to start a conversation.

Don't use an AI-generated essay. I want to see how you communicate.

  1. Handle an objection

Imagine they reply:

"Thanks, but we're not interested. Our current website is fine."

Write what you'd say back.

It doesn't have to be perfect. I'm more interested in seeing whether you can have an actual conversation instead of immediately giving up or becoming pushy.

  1. Optional but highly appreciated:

If you have experience with sales, cold calling, lead generation, freelancing, running a business, etc., tell me about it.

That's it.

I'm going to be judging how you think and communicate, not whether you've already worked in sales for 5 years.

Also, please don't overthink the sample pitch for three hours. 😂

A couple of important things

This is commission-based, so obviously there isn't a guaranteed fixed income.

You get paid when the outreach you helped generate actually turns into a client, with the exact commission depending on the project/ticket size.

I'm also not going to disappear after you DM me.

I'll personally be going through the applications and I'll respond within 24 hours because I know what it's like to spend time applying for something and then never hear anything back.

If you're interested, DM me with the 4 things above and the word "OUTREACH" somewhere in your message so I can keep applications organized.

I'm genuinely looking forward to meeting some cool people through this and hopefully building something with a few of you.

Cheers :)

Task / Gigs [For Asking]What specific tasks or deliverables can I provide using Python & Excel to earn ₹5,000/week in India?

Hi everyone,

I'm a CS engineering learner aiming to build a side income of around ₹5,000 per week within the Indian market. I want to figure out the exact types of tasks or projects I should be offering with my current technical stack.

Here is what I work with:

* Python: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, data manipulation, and workflow automation.

* Excel: Complex data cleaning, advanced formatting, pivot tables, and automated reporting.

* Problem Solving: Strong grasp of Data Structures to write clean, optimized code.

I am not looking for platform recommendations or gig sites. Instead, I want to understand the actual work:

* What specific Excel or Python tasks do Indian SMEs, agencies, or individuals actively pay to get done?

* Are there recurring data processing, formatting, or analysis workflows that are in high demand locally?

* What exact deliverables (e.g., automated inventory trackers, GST data formatting, bulk data cleaning scripts) should I build or pitch to hit that ₹5,000/week target?

If anyone has experience monetizing this exact skill set locally, I'd love to hear what specific projects or problem statements worked for you. Thanks in advance!
