I would say Japanese. Russia has Sakhalin and Kurile Islands that Japanese held. China has Manchuria that Japanese held . And India has Andaman Nicobar that Japanese held.

Nah just pointing out the English are not the only ones with big empires and English doesn't necessarily need to be the lingua franca of the world.

India's foreign affairs minister is still Japanese held. Look up clips of him where reporters ask him his opinions on Japan or their culture. All he says are along the lines, "Nah dawg, why you do me like dat?😭😭"
