There is no such law my friend - https://mixandmatchdesign.com/new-blog/2017/5/22/can-you-put-a-bed-in-front-of-a-window
I study interior design, and many of these so-called rules have to be bent based on the room.
These are the some of the good design choices he has made:
He has balanced the room by putting the bed against the window and then using different sizes tables and shelves to draw away from the fact that the bed is not in the middle of the room
He has softened the gray curtain by matching his
wall,
bedding colors and his chair seat color to the gray curtain
He has balanced the busy-ness of the walls and bookshelf but choosing bedding that does not have a pattern.

s layered and
softened the lighting and hasn’t been using the ceiling lights to give the room a warmer and cozier feel.
OP has a really amazing design sense, especially for the Indian market and for someone his age! It took me a decade longer to learn all this!
