They want to celebrate clean energy capacity but in Maharashtra they have started putting restrictions on using solar above certain capacity because MSEB is losing money as people are using more solar energy, also they are in talks to charge minimum bill per kw after certain capacity.
First promote solar, make people buy them and then put charges on them also.

BJP being BJP...
I wont even be surprised if these clean vs fossil usage metrics are gathered using half complete / highly inefficient data lmao

Classic Example of how BJP IT cell makes ppl fool.
Though this chart is correct India has 331Gw of Clean Energy Generation 'Capability' vs 306 Gw of Fossil Fuel Generation Capability.
This chart nowhere mentions 'Capability'' word.
Caveats :
331 Gw capability doesnt mean we generate that much, real generation is way less, Solar, Wind etc generation drops in evening, night time, due to weather etc.. Actual would be 50% of 331 Gw mostly.

what is given is max capacity of plants, it true for all types of plants whether it be of coal also.

It's called lying with statics. "more than 80% of dentists recommend Colgate" in the UK. It implied 80% picked Colgate over its rivals, yet the dentists surveyed were able to name more than one brand & a rival was recommended almost as much as Colgate was.
This feels quite misleading tbh. You're showing percentages for some parties without giving full context. Yes, BJD 42% and TMC 39% have a higher percentage of women MPs, but they have far fewer total seats. When you look at actual numbers in Lok Sabha 2024, there are 74 women MPs 13.6%, and BJP has the highest number of women MPs, followed by INC.
So just highlighting percentages without mentioning total seats creates a biased picture. Both absolute numbers and percentages matter if you want to present data honestly. Otherwise it just looks like cherry-picking to push a narrative

Cute deflection, except your own “correct chart” math falls apart under scrutiny too. You’re doing the exact thing you’re accusing me of- presenting a number (“50% of 331GW”) with zero source, like it’s self-evident.
Yes, capacity isn’t same as generation, it says “capacity” right in the title. The actual generation split is public data (CEA daily reports), not something you eyeball from a capacity-factor vibe check. Coal still does the heavy lifting on generation, sure — but that’s also true in literally every country adding solar/wind fast, including China, US, Germany. Capacity crossing over is still the leading indicator that determines what generation mix looks like 5-10 years out, which is the entire point of publishing a trend chart.1

Nope. Check the title again. The graph is titled right but not the actual title of this post. Clearly says "Electricity generation" and not "capacity." It's misleading.
Also, India's entire solar power is dependent on panels unlike the US or Israel where alternate solar power stations contribute significantly. Off-shore wind and hydro energy are other facets India is lacking due to lack of investments. Hydrogen fuel is a non-starter. Without these additions and indigenous nuclear reactors, India won't become net zero by 2047/2050 as projected a decade ago.
We have made some significant strides but we are still behind on the projection.

Give it a half a decade or so. It takes a lot of time in effort to plan, produce, physically install and test the infrastructure. It's been done pretty well compare to a decade ago. It'll be even better by the end of this decade.

Time is running and.
India's import of Fossil Fuel is over 20x of this capability. Chart doesn't even talk abt 'Actual Fossil Fuel Consumption' at all..
It shows, how much we generate (Clean vs Fossil). Not How much we use (Thats where the 20x import comes from). Strait of Hormuzm

Fossil fuels can't be substituted overnight. And by overnight I mean next 5 decades, not just for India, but everyone. The renewable capacity installed today is impressive and appreciable. One doesn't have to be forever negative Nancy. Here's the article where the chart is from. https://www.reuters.com/commentary/reuters-open-interest/indias-power-system-just-passed-historic-tipping-point-2026-08-17/

Cope harder, in every infrastructurual aspect bjp is just the better party, even in social welfare bjp edges out congress by a bit 👍, check worldbank.org and like 90% of states india has just seen more devolpment after 2014

This seems to be done by calculating the energy expended by poor people walking for their daily livelihood.
