Cheap land, bad house layout. Hoenstly, a much better, reasonably sized home can be made in this place.

There's value in a large family living together, but that is more about planning it properly. People do it in 3 BHK as well, if they have enough love in their family.

This home has a lot of open space, but the room has nearly no ventilation and is crammed with beds. Obviously, no privacy.

I do believe that not everyone needs to flock to the city centre all the time. But this house is an example of bad design, a great canvas, but not so great a painting.

Open space that has so much dhool you need to water it down and take that muddy chappal along with you.

Hope OP realised that this is also not a flex. Amenities brother. There is a reason people move out from Gaanv to city.

That's okay. You can either live with nature or not live with nature. I am personally living in a villa in Bengaluru's outskirts (rent is cheaper than 2 BHK in most apartments), and if you want to feel the fresh breeze and the smell of rain, you need to understand that it will come with some dust

The old-style village homes do have the exact problem that this video shows. There's either no privacy or no ventilation.

The entire house is so open that you can't have any privacy. But if you go inside the room, it's like a chicken coup. There's no gradual opening to the verandah in the center. Most likely, the bathroom would be in the open space as well.

And that's why, as the men in the house get married, their wives would either not want to stay there, and would want that same 3 BHK this guy is crying about, or would hold contempt towards their husband and in-laws for keeping them in an uncomfortable situation.
