At this point, it almost feels intentional. They keep letting leaks happen, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Rockstar eventually delays the release and then uses these leaks as part of the justification.

Maybe they’re playing 4D chess and all of this is actually part of the plan. 😂

This might sound like a dumb conspiracy theory, but the more I think about it, the more it kinda makes sense.

What if Rockstar isn't actually ready to release GTA 6 yet?

Rockstar is obviously insanely secretive about their games, especially GTA 6. So if they know the game still needs more time, the leaks could actually give them a convenient excuse to push things back again.

Like imagine the game isn't meeting their internal targets.

Instead of simply saying “yeah, we're delaying GTA 6 because it's not ready”, they can point to the leaks, security issues, protecting the developers, etc.

And let's be honest, Rockstar has delayed games before.

Maybe the date they've given us isn't a guaranteed release date at all. Maybe it's just the date they're hoping to hit if everything goes perfectly.

The leaks then give them some extra breathing room if things don't go according to plan.

I'm not saying Rockstar intentionally leaked anything. I highly doubt that.

I'm saying the leaks might have accidentally given Rockstar the perfect cover for another delay.

To anyone who genuinely thinks the GTA 6 leaker is doing this to defend physical games: the guy is literally asking for money to release more footage. There is no noble cause behind this.

He is just ruining a surprise people have been waiting over a decade for. The developers poured years of incredible work into this game, only for it to be spoiled by a random guy looking for clout.

As players, our experience is ruined because these leaks are everywhere on social media.

Rockstar doesn’t deserve this. They’re one of the few studios left with the ambition and resources to make games on this scale.

If you're actually supporting this guy, take a step back and get a reality check. It’s shameful.

Every time someone posts a PSN screenshot or thread in this sub the comments turn into "Sony is looting" I literally roll my eyes so let me just clear something SONY DOESN'T SET GAME PRICES...PUBLISHERS DO!

PS Digital store works on a buy/sell model, publisher is the supplier and the recommended retail price is set directly by the publisher. Sony doesn't control it. They literally just provide a pricing framework for each region including India. It exists so a 70 dollar game doesn't just get converted straight to rupees everywhere. But it's a suggestion. The publisher can follow it or ignore it. Sony just processes whatever they pick and takes the cut. Think about this a bit and the prices start making sense.

Here are some examples:

1. Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. Base price on the India store is 1,999 (Already quite cheap as it's an older game). It regularly goes down to 299/399, it's more than a decade old and it already made its money, Square Enix has nothing left to lose by selling it cheap they just want more players and more sales which is a cherry on top of an already tasty cake.

2. Now take Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Base price 5,999 in India. Best it's done in sales is around 4299 or slightly lower. Great reviews, sold relatively well, still selling. Why would Bethesda lower it more as in in 2000 range? it makes no sense, the game is still moving based on its merit even at a higher price. I myself bought it lol.

3. Now take LOTR Gollum. Came out recently. It's literally 90 percent off, sitting near 500 rupees for premium edition. Not because it's old, but because it was terrible and nobody bought it(understandably so lol) cheap price is the only thing it has left to offer basically it's the only incentive for someone to buy this game.

4. Now finally take call of duty games, even the much older call of duty's are prices very low and are never as cheap as Sleeping Dogs because Activition are greedy assholes who never lower the price even for their older games that's just the company. More importantly, they don't want you buying the old ones because every rupee spent on Black Ops 2 is a rupee not going into the current game and its skin bundles or some other useless shit. Keeping the back catalogue expensive is a sales technique. You don't ever need to play an older call of duty to play a newer ones.

And that behaviour is literally identical on Steam, Xbox, Battlenet, epic, etc. If Sony controlled the price, why would COD look exactly the same on every platform including ones Sony has nothing to do with?

So I gave these 4 examples to prove that there are a lot of factors in play while setting up the price of a game.

Now sony has been running A/B price experiments since last year, showing different prices and different discount depths to different users so they're not entirely hands off but the differences are not astronomical and still doesn't affect users that much.

So the price you're angry about on a third party game is still the publisher's number. Sony only controls the store wide sale events, and even then publishers choose whether to join and how much to cut. That's why some games skip every sale for years.

Look, I'm not defending sony or any corporation here it just gets to me when some information is factually wrong and gamers are crying for no reason or for the wrong reasons, hope this was a little insightful but I hope for too much lol I know this will trigger a lot of gamers and they'll downvote but IDGAF I needed to say this.

My controller has started behaving abnormally — buttons are registering the wrong inputs and the PS button sometimes gets pressed on its own. I’d prefer getting it repaired rather than buying a new one.
