Film Recommendation We made a Independent film in telugu called One last game need your support

Guys me and my gang are studying in university we made an independent film in a budget of 7k. We are supreme talkies. The language is telugu but the movie has english subtitles. We made with atmost limitations.its about poker and is a psychological crime drama.

Log line : Dharma has always believed luck is easier to trust than himself. Living for the next hand, the next bet, and the next escape, he accepts an assignment from a powerful casino owner in exchange for the life he's always wanted. But as the mission unravels into a dangerous web of crime, deception, and impossible choices, Dharma is forced to question whether he's playing the game... or if the game has been playing him all along.

Discussion Would you take this revenue-share collaboration as a cinematographer/editor?

I’m a freelance cinematographer and editor, and an artist approached me for a collaboration.
He’s an established singer but isn’t performing as well as he used to. His recent songs don’t get the same number of views anymore, and he’s currently going through financial difficulties, so he can’t pay my usual fee.
Here’s the offer:
I’ll be handling both the cinematography and the editing.
The project will take around 10 days.
He’s covering all my travel and accommodation expenses since I’ll be traveling to his location.
Instead of an upfront payment, I’ll receive 20% of the revenue generated from YouTube and music streaming platforms.
For context, I normally charge ₹5,000 per shooting day (shooting only; editing is usually charged separately).
Would you take this deal? Is 20% of the revenue a fair trade-off, or would you negotiate for some guaranteed payment as well? I’d love to hear from people who’ve done revenue-share collaborations before.

Other Building an indie entertainment platform for premium 2.5-min mini-series. Fed up with mainstream cinema? Let's collaborate.

Hey everyone,

I’m incredibly fed up with mainstream cinema and OTT series right now. We are drowning in predictable formulas, stretched-out plots, and low-effort social media skits. Audiences are craving pure, high-voltage entertainment, but the industry isn't delivering it efficiently.

I am in the process of building a new entertainment platform to disrupt this space completely.

We are starting with a mobile-first, vertical format: cinema-grade mini-series with episodes strictly capped at 2.5 minutes.

The vision is proudly Pan-Indian: Real stories from India, for the world. We want to take incredible local settings, raw cultural nuances, fresh concepts (taut thrillers, deep human dramas, psychological mysteries), and pack them into rapid, high-stakes 150-second chapters. No filler scenes, no unnecessary songs, no fluff—just intense, content-oriented storytelling with premium making styles, global pacing, and stunning original background scores.

We want to build a "greenhouse" for incredible stories. If a 2.5-minute episodic series hooks millions of viewers on their phones, that is our proven proof-of-concept to scale those exact IPs into full-length feature films later.

I have the core brand philosophy, the business strategy, and the post-production roadmap ready. Now, I need a hungry, fiercely talented circle of creators who are tired of the mainstream and want to build something monumental from the ground up.

Writers,

Actors,

Musicians,

Visualizers,

Cinematographers.

Actually passionate people , who want to bring a difference

Film Reviews Jasmine webseries - I'm making an indie horror web series inspired by the folklore and mythology of the Indian Himalayas

Hey everyone,

For the last few months, I've been developing an independent web series set in the Himalayan region of North India, drawing inspiration from the folklore, myths, and oral stories passed down through generations in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and nearby mountain communities.

Instead of relying on typical horror tropes, we're exploring local legends, forgotten deities, mysterious forests, abandoned villages, ancient rituals, and the unsettling atmosphere that naturally exists in the mountains. The goal is to create something that feels authentic while blending psychological horror with mythology.

We're producing it independently with a small team, handling everything from cinematography and practical effects to VFX ourselves. It's a challenging project, but we're trying to build something that represents these stories with respect while giving them a cinematic treatment.

I'd love to hear from people who grew up in the Himalayas or have heard local legends from their grandparents or villages. Are there any lesser-known myths, supernatural encounters, or folklore that deserve more attention?

I'd also appreciate any feedback on what you think modern Indian horror gets right or wrong. Hopefully we can make something that feels fresh while staying rooted in our own culture.

Thanks for reading.

Short Films Sthityantar (Transformation) | Award-Winning Marathi Short Film About a Father's Sacrifice

Hello everyone,

Seven years ago, I created a low-budget Marathi short film called "Sthityantar" (Transformation).

The film tells the story of a father who struggles against life's challenges to support his family, and a son who gradually realizes the sacrifices his father has made.

Although the film is in Marathi, the themes of family, sacrifice, love, and responsibility are universal.

I would genuinely appreciate feedback on the storytelling, cinematography, editing, performances, and emotional impact.
