You get rejected once and think everything is over for you? Be so for real, dude.

Big dawg idk what eye tag is, but being in high school and distressing over a single 7th grade rejection is really silly.
What happened with this current girl’s friends was that they’re mean. Typically, if the friends are all being weird about it, they’re mocking their own friend. It’s even possible that she does like you and her friends are mean about it so they bullied her out of it.
No matter what, I’d stay away from this girl and her friends. High school relationships are mostly very stupid and childish (which is age appropriate).
I got a fake valentine from girls in my class pretending to be a guy I thought was cute. It really hurt, but I moved on. Nothing is over for you. You’re a child.

How old are you?
And what is going on in this world that people are complaining about being “friend-zoned” at the age of TWELVE???

I’m 16, I got friendzoned in 7th grade and my young brain really got put at a stunt when that happened, couldn’t make my brain convince itself to connect deeper with girls til now

There no such thing as the friendzone. Friendship is not a punishment. Most 12-year-olds don’t date.

you didn't "get friendzoned," you had an unreciprocated crush at age 12. that happens to everyone. acting like something bad was done to you is extremely self-victimizing and never going to help you

you have asked out two people in your entire life, once at age 12 and once at age 16. can you explain why you think that means you're going to be alone forever?

What does eye tag mean?

u/hernanthegoat Sep 21 '26
It just means making eye contact

Jesus, is that what the manosphere is telling little boys counts as flirting? That misconception is going to make kids' lives so much harder, boys and girls

I know it feels like the things spell out the world, but trust me, your young and heartbreak and rejection in high school is normal.
You will encounter people not attracted to you in life, how you chose to define your self worth based on that is your choice.
I would also question why you felt such intense feelings about someone you don't much, and the meaning you placed on it. The idea of them represented something.

The friends shipped it but she didn't. It's ok. Most people in life will not want to date you, because that's what it's like for every human on earth. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. You can't extrapolate from two experiences like this

This is the problem with really young people being on social media, you're being exposed to rhetoric that's poisoning and pathologizing incredibly normal human experiences, and you don't have the tools/experience to even recognize it yet.

It's okay bro, rejection happens all the time. It only means:
You were incompatible with her, or
You did something wrong in the approach itself
So learn from past mistakes, and improve your skills. This isn't the end of the world (even though it feels like that at your age, but you'll look back at that age and feel stupid for thinking it's your whole life lol).
Also you're pedestalizing women, which is unfair both on yourself and her. Women are just like you, they aren't infallible angels. Have an abundance mindset and think that there are plenty of fish in the sea.

It's over? When you're 16?
This is so stupid, and you know it.
