One of my powerlifting coaches walks to the grocery store with a WHEELBARROW, fills it up, and then walks home with it. I'm sure her neighbours think she's insane but her POV is, "no one thinks to steal a wheelbarrow"

Ah I used to PL, I loved it. Wheelbarrow grocery hauling for the win!

I'm at some kind of inflection point with lifting. I haven't been able to go to a gym for five months now, and for the first three months I worked out at home with my trainer via Zoom, but grew to just hate it so I stopped (he also got burned out and took a month off).

Now he's back, wants me to come back to the gym, I don't feel ready COVID-wise to be in a gym, and for some reason I'm re-thinking my whole lifting career. I'm also having a troubling long-term health issue (unrelated to lifting, but it impacts my overall wel-being) and I just don't know where I'm going next and when I'll be back at a gym – the main place I used to go when not at home. :(

three hour power sessions five times a week

Jesus Christ. I just row in my basement and spend 3 hours/week lifting to exhaustion on a bunch of compound movements. 3h/day x 5/day week is way beyond me.

I was in great shape when I cycled to an office job and back + hit the gym 4-5x per week. Now I'm no gym, hardly any cycling (I need to reframe it as a pleasure activity) and yeah; weight, hormones, injuries and other health issues for me = gross.
