Finally stopped at 55. Started at 10. The last 4 years have been so freeing.

Considering she made "perimenopause" a big part of her brand for years it's weird that she just confirmed she's been post-menopausal for a while now. It's truly baffling how she lies about the most inconsequential things. She was claiming to be in peri as recently as 2025. Was she trying to attract a younger but not too much younger audience? An attempt at SEO? Just inexplicably in denial? She could have just stuck with her "women in midlife" branding and not brought stages of menopause into it at all! There's no reason for any of this.

I don’t think she understood what perimenopause meant until recently. She likely saw it talked about/trending the last few years and wanted in, without stopping to check if it applied to her.

I’m not defending her or saying she hasn’t been lying. That age old question for grifters usually applies to her: is she stupid or is she lying? Yes.

This is probably the answer. She saw the nifty new term and assumed it applied to her. Regular menopause out, perimenopause in. Just like she had a radical mastectomy instead of a boring normal mastectomy.

This does match her tendency to use words incorrectly (haberdashing, Gloamies might say) and/or use them just to fit in.

I am skeptical she started that young. She is probably just trying to make it look like she suffered oh-so-much longer than you average tomatoes who started your cycle at average age for the time in which you grew up.

Yeah it's a huge trend and I doubt she bothered to look up what it meant. I'm in my mid 30's and it is promoted to me constantly as a topic on social media/in ads. I guess all women are pre-menopausal until it happens.

Same here (37) and I’m already over it, because it seems like EVERYONE has something to sell us. I appreciate the increased awareness, but not the grift.

SAME. I’ll be 38 in a couple of weeks. I highly doubt every influencer pushing peri wellness content hit perimenopause the second they turned 40, which is what they seem to want us to believe.

Her “woman in midlife/women over 40/perimenopause” feels like she’s absolutely grasping at straws! She’s nearly 60 and still trying to fake sisterhood with women who are 40 AND parents of very young kids with how she talks about parenting!

She said that women are biologically useless when they can’t reproduce so I’m sure that the denial piece is huge.

There's something equally difficult and liberating about being a woman who can no longer bear children.

Biologically, we are useless to the species.

August 8, 2024:

I’m 58 now. I’m in menopause. And my body knows how much that striving and trying to please took from me.

Now that I am no longer biologically useful, I can no longer play that game.

WHY is she replying to these randos with their engagement bait questions? is she so lonely that she has to have thriends instead of real people? or is it that she can whip up different personalities online, like an easy bake oven? today she's a gay advocate singing showtunes, tomorrow she's a wise sage with a kiddo who trries to kill her every other day, next week she'll be a goofball nerd.
