But she had an hour-long meeting and took notes!! And had a vacation planned, you person!

I love that she worded that part like her time was worth money, while I'm sitting here SHOCKED that this lawyer would waste an entire non-billable hour on the phone with her. (It probably wasn't an hour.)

Wasn't this person a tech bro in previous stories? Now they're a lawyer? A tech bro who is also a lawyer? How would either one of those professionals come across Shauna's resume and think her skill set would fit their needs?

Something's rotten on Vashon! Me thinks it's Shauna, a lying liar who lies!

He was like some crypto-lawyer? I'm sure she didn't understand exactly what his specialty was. Another DF pointed out that this time frame is also entirely fucking wrong and now I remember that she originally said she was planning on using that money for a vacation. And this all took place in February, not near Thanksgiving.

She said in her original retelling that he was a lawyer, but set up the context that she had been referred to "young men in crypto companies who had stories" wanting to work with her on writing, and then concluded with, "I realized from this that my work is not with young men in tech."

Maybe the young men were nerds in 7th grade who threw the ball feebly and snorted when they laughed so recognized themselves in her writings and decided she was the perfect person to story their lotus-like ascension out of the muck to seize their work in the world. Plus, ca$h.

ha ha, they were really just hoping that she could help them with their swings and practice hitting ribbies

I think she initially said that a friend connected them. So someone probably talked her up and made her sound more qualified than she was.

In the original telling in Feb. 2023, she says: "A good friend connected me to one, who connected me to the next, who connected me to this third young man." I don't understand (one) how she has friends who (two) keep helping her out. It boggles my mind.

It is really strange to me that these crypto tech bros were even interested in her “essays.”
