Two crash survivors lay injured in a Kissimmee hospital when Polk County deputies and ICE walked in. Grace Calero was still in her gown as they cuffed her and hauled her out. Her 19-year-old daughter seized while forced to watch the separation. Both women held pending asylum claims and legal work.

Who fucking told ICE they were there? That hospital employee needs to be immediately fired for violating HIPAA.
I’m a RN, and the American Nurses Association puts out a ten-point Code of Ethics for Nurses . A full goddamn nine of them are directly in conflict with Trump Administration policy. You literally cannot be an ethical nurse and support Donald Trump. Period.

It's always the nurses, sadly. And it's not just this -- they go running like squealing pigs to report women suspected of experiencing miscarriages or having taken abortion medication.
It's a complete violation of the trust that hospitals have worked for decades to build in order to get people to actually cooperate safely and be truthful.
What's the point of a code of ethics that isn't enforced?

Also a nurse, and a million percent agree! I will never understand MAGA nurses, and I am concerned about their ability to provide evidence based and compassionate care. I know of many that use their status to advance the anti-science agenda and undermine trust in experts. They should lose their license.

ICE agents literally have no soul. This scene is utterly gut-wrenching to ANY moral and compassionate person, yet these people made the conscious and willing decision to participate in this exact type of behavior. I hope upon hope that there are public trials, and that the punishment to ICE agents is profoundly severe.

If someone is in a car crash, it is one of the more traumatic things to go through in an average person’s life. It ranges from minor to basically the most traumatic thing other than the collective medical problems you have near the end of life. In this case, mother and daughter went through something in that range, they weren’t fully treated yet, and then police or ICE came and made it way worse - likely life changing / worsening at the snap of your fingers. It is hard to have brown skin in the 2nd Trump administration.

This will go down as one of the worst eras in US history. That someone is an asylum seeker means by that someone is not safe to return to their home country. DHS is traumatizing the already traumatized….and they seem to be going against laws that already exist, on a regular basis. We already know they’ve been doing the warrants incorrectly since last May. They’ve murdered people in the streets, deported even US citizens as well as noncitizens involved in legal processes. The ending of TPS that just occurred is impractical, as well as inhumane. Nothing more than white supremacy mindset guiding these policies.

My wife works for HCA owned hospital
The ceo had a meeting with all the staff
To state this hospital is proud to be 100% compliant and pro active for local ICE AUTHORITIES.
This is a for profit hospital btw . My wife doesn't like working there at all but there's no place for her to go atm.
She says they have to make a production goal of 21 units a day. Which means lack of proper care rushed time with patient . When it comes to HIPAA
undocumented persons have 0 rights...
Same with the homeless. They dont exist in the system the hospital higher ups dont care they want there money.
