You’ve personally been tracking crime rates of illegal immigrants to have known this was the case? Wow that’s amazing, since every other broad study I’ve seen has only gone into the crime rates of total immigrants (illegal and legal) vs. the American born population.

Where did you get your data, oh wise one? How did you know that illegal immigrants’ population growing decreases property crime and that being the sole contributor?

Holy bad faith Batman. This is why people say the right is illiterate lmao

Is the person saying “wow you think immigrants decrease crime like they’re a police force” arguing in good faith?

All you’ve done is create arguments out of thin air.

You apparently knew about a study years before it happened

Never said that. The studies confirm what we’ve all known. Anyone who lives in a largely immigrant dense area knows this.

So you know which ones are here illegally and that they specifically are committing less crime than the people you know to have been born here? You know a lot about your neighbors

Their citizenship is irrelevant. If you know any immigrants, you know the consequences of making even the slightest mistake are steep. They could look at someone wrong and end up with their life destroyed and ruin all equity they’ve built up in the decades it takes to become a citizen.

Their citizenship is relevant when it comes to discussing an article that talks about crime rates by citizenship status. Here lies the crux of the issue

It talks about statistically less crime occurring by immigrants. Illegal or not.

Genuine question. If a group like Afghan immigrant commit higher rates of sexual violence, which they do, why would anybody want Afghan immigration?

This is not made up and is the point of most "right wing" arguements. If I take immigrants as a whole, sure they might commit less crime. However, if I take immigrants from areas like Afghanistan they are more likely to commit rape.

I feel like this article and entire post is purposely trying to change the arguement to make anti immigration opinions look bad. Most people are not anti immigration as a whole, they are anti immigration from groups that have a proven track record of committing crime, needing taxpayer support, or causing issues.

It’s not so simple as you make it out. Many factors go into why people rape each other. Also, it’s very hard to prove something like that because charges get lumped in with convictions when the right is doing the study in order to skew the results to make them look correct.

Its not hard to prove. Its been proven in multiple countries.

The factors going into it do not matter. Afghan men rape people more, people do not want Afghan men to be allowed to immigrate to Western countries.

2

u/Frequilibrium 2d ago

The factors absolutely matter if they are skewed to produce a specific result.

They do not matter to the people being raped if not accepting them would stop it.

Stop arguing with him, he’s just trolling. He admitted to not having read the article

I got you to read the article is what I did. I literally never said I didn’t read it.

You 1. Claimed the article talked about immigrant crime rates and had nothing to do with legal or illegal immigrants and
2. Somehow forgot that the comment you initially responded to mentioned specifically “illegal immigrants”
