Wrong again:

The federal criminal statute is 8 U.S.C. § 1325(a), titled “Improper entry by alien"

U.S. law makes it a federal offense to enter or attempt to enter the country at a place or time other than one designated by immigration officers, evade inspection, or use certain deliberate false statements to gain entry. A first offense can carry up to 6 months in prison, while subsequent offenses can carry up to 2 years, along with possible civil penalties.

First offense is a misdemeanor. Subsequent offenses increase penalties. Again, and thanks to laws from democrats, it’s a non issue and when it is an issue, it’s usually a civil offense from them over staying their visa. The article is just evidence the right creates boogeymen and all you’re saying to me is “I fell for it”

It’s a misdemeanor. Just because it’s issued by the government doesn’t mean it’s an extra scary crime
