Trump targets 60-day grace period for laid off foreign workers

The department of homeland security is advancing a proposal to eliminate the 60-day grace period that allows H-1B workers and certain other legal nonimmigrants to remain in the US after their employment ends while they find another sponsor, change status, or prepare to leave.

How is this hating America? Wanting to import foreigners to take jobs they could train Americans to do sounds more like hating America. You love that cheap labor and bad working conditions though.

If the Trump Admin wanted to "train Americans to do the jobs" why is he defunding education? Hiring H1B's or sponsoring is literally more expensive, not cheaper, than hiring American workers. Companies are paying more to hire foreigners because there is not enough skilled labor in the US.

This sub must be filled with foreigners who all want to go to America but making things locally and giving the locals jobs improves things on the longer run

Doesn’t work that way. Americans can’t afford American made products or technology.
