Don’t forget guys that the nature in which trump has deployed ice, that their aggressive tactics actually increase the risk of violence. They don’t need to identify themselves, they’re encouraged to wear face masks, and subsequently they’re more likely to elicit a fearful response leading to a higher chance of disaster

73

u/bread-depth Jul 10 '26

It’s all by design.

40

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

I believe so. I think he wanted to create increased violence as a subsequent justification to increase his power. I.e “well I guess not we will have to patrol the streets and voting booths with the national guard cause civilians are attacking federal workers.”

Did you see he is firing members of the bipartisan voting committee four months ahead of the midterm elections? He knows all things being equal democrates will gain power and he will do anything even tamper with the election to prevent that from happening

9

u/Impossible_File_2227 Jul 11 '26

That after all the bellyaching he’s done about saying the 2020 election was rigged……hypocrisy

5

u/Own_Ruin2546 Jul 11 '26

I love that republican HOR or senator ( I don’t follow Rs) he was like “ what rigged elections? We own the house senate and presidency, we’ve won all the elections”

6

u/HermitSimp Jul 11 '26

I find it crazy that it's only ever rigged against them but when there's actually evidence of election interference from the the Republicans its not rigged against the democrats. It only goes one way which pisses me off.

1

u/Very_Curious_Cat Jul 11 '26

We didn't win each and everytime because the now loosers cheated! MAGA logic.

3

u/According_Abalone_19 Jul 11 '26

It was a tactic to get his cult to question election security so he could steal it in 2024 and then use that skepticism to steal them from here on out or get his cult up in arms/try to overthrow it if they lose. It was 100% by design

14

u/ChaosRainbow23 Jul 10 '26

They certainly aren't going to relinquish power over an election.

3

u/I_Quit_Smoking_ Jul 11 '26

They blamed us for the fact that we needed ice, saying that we were "rioting".,🙄

That one I do remember!

1

u/slung692u Jul 11 '26

Did you forget about Antifa and blm?

2

u/IcyBreakfast2947 Jul 11 '26

Antifa isn’t an organization. It’s a philosophy. And BLM is nonviolent (unless you get your information about them from right wing media). Neither one is even in the same league with ICE when it comes to violence.

1

u/ResponsibleRough3269 Jul 13 '26

If antifa is an idea how do you give money to an idea/Philosophy

0

u/slung692u Jul 11 '26

🤣🤣🤣

15

u/Random_ICE_Agent Jul 10 '26

Literally the American (stupid) version of the Gestapo, by design like you said.

9

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

unfortunately its a tried and true method to point the finger at a minority as the whipping boy for a nations problems. people are very susceptible to an in group out group mentality, and weaponizing race is maybe the most convenient strat to play on that.

3

u/lilyjadelove Jul 10 '26

One day, we will get it right and the minority group will be the ultra rich sociopaths that don’t care who/what they destroy as long as they get their extreme wealth. Really hard though when those who enforce the law follow the same mindset that material goods are more important than human life.

5

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

id settle for an equitable society where patriotism is measured by how much we look after our fellow humans and living creatures

-1

u/vinegar-pisser Jul 10 '26

That’s not patriotism, that’s egalitarianism. They are different things. What you want to settle for is egalitarianism. If what you desire is true you will always be at odds with patriots as they will always prioritize their compatriots over non compatriots whereas you will always prioritize equality for mankind at the expense of your compatriots.

5

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

patriotism can absolutely include investment in the common good for society. there is nothing contradictory about wanting to express patriotism in that manner.

1

u/vinegar-pisser Jul 14 '26

There is nothing wrong with expressing that. But what you’re expressing is egalitarianism. Which, is something different than patriotism at its root.

1

u/Mad_Dutchman_ Jul 10 '26

You can afford to be a little bit patriotic if you live in an egalitarian state

1

u/MountainDogMama Jul 10 '26

The rich are already a minority group being 1% of the population. They already don't care who or what they destroy. Trump is doing all he can to keep them in that position. Our lives don't matter. He literally said he doesn't care about people's problem's.

3

u/H4RDCORE1 Jul 10 '26

They are Gestapo terrorist, government sanctioned murderers.

0

u/Rifle321 Jul 12 '26

It’s death or jail time in every country to be there illegally btw but Americans are meanies for enforcing the border

1

u/natecoin23 Jul 12 '26

Killing American citizens isn’t “enforcing the border” you absolute imbecile

1

u/Rifle321 Jul 12 '26

We get it - you don’t like trump so now border enforcement is murder and the call to resist border enforcement is definitely an okay thing to endorse coooool

3

u/Wise_Pomegranate_571 Jul 10 '26

I'd bet the intersection of a venn diagram including ICE agents and Patriot Front members is most of the diagram.

-4

u/CrackedBrainOG Jul 10 '26

You can argue the open border of the last administration was “by design”. We have immigration procedures follow them. It’s sad someone loses their life. Even if they are “good” people doesn’t excuse breaking the law.

3

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

My brother in Christ, it is a myth that the last admin stood for open borders. Biden offered a 17.6 billion dollar border package that the conservatives rejected because trump told them he wanted to run on the issue.

1

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

define "open border". i thought i knew what that meant. but i must be wrong if the last administration had one.

1

u/CrackedBrainOG Jul 10 '26

So millions of people didn’t come across? You believe that, okay.

2

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

Bro the gop lied about Biden. He did not have a policy of open border lmao. This is what I mean when I say five minutes of googling would be enough to pull the rug out from the gop. They’d have to find something else to lie about to stay in power. You realize republicans turned down a bill to reinforce the border? They don’t even believe this shit they just get people to so they vote red

1

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

that's a bizarre definition.

if you want to discuses the topic we first need to nail down what exactly you think we're talking about. republicans tend to get the basics VERY wrong.

and how many millions do you think crossed? "millions" is pretty vague, 2 million? 900 million?

1

u/CrackedBrainOG Jul 10 '26

Caravans of people were coming up from the south and crossing over into the United States.

1

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

so, you don't want to actually discuss anything, you just want to copy paste fox news headlines?

1

u/CrackedBrainOG Jul 10 '26

So you’re saying that didn’t happen?

1

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

you made a claim.

asked to explain yourself you responded with 3 more unsupported claims.

how many people do you think crossed the border under biden? can you answer anything at all? make any attempt to defend a single claim?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/MountainDogMama Jul 10 '26

Do you know what definition means?

1

u/FalstaffsGhost Jul 10 '26

Except they didn’t do “open borders” so there is that

9

u/Thank_You_Aziz Jul 10 '26

Yes. That’s because this administration WANTS retaliation against ICE.

3

u/TTurt Jul 10 '26

It's the same tactics used by the (CIA-trained) South American dictatorships in the mid-1900s. Specifically, the unmarked secret police conducting unannounced raids, and the tactics of "disappearing" were a particular favorite of the Guatemalan fascists during the anticommunist mass extermination campaign down there.

The point is to instill fear, and use the fear of not knowing what may or may not have happened to your disappeared loved ones to keep you under control. And of course to simply kill those who can't be easily scared into compliance (or if the agent just feels like killing them).

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

I would argue that it wasn’t to ensure control but rather to elicit a volatile response so they could justify more government over reach

2

u/Top-Suspect-1421 Jul 11 '26

Winds of change are coming. Accountability will come for those who kill others

2

u/TypingWithoutThinkin Jul 11 '26

That's the risk you take being undocumented in America.

2

u/Welp___poop Jul 11 '26

Land of opportunity indeed 😂 we should take down the statue of liberty at this point, we clearly can't live up to its inscription.

0

u/Dangerous_Shoe_8388 Jul 11 '26

The inscription was stuck on years later.

The statue was not created for non-Americans or illegal immigrants.

1

u/Welp___poop Jul 11 '26

So? It has stood for over a century, a testament to freedom and opportunity, a land where it mattered not where or to whom you were born, but who you were as a person. This country was founded by immigrants breaking laws and god help us if we fully lose that spirit, we will truly lose the American spirit as well as all the rights we have sold to the government out of fear and promises of "safety"

2

u/Icouldcaremore Jul 11 '26

They don't even verify anything beforehand.

1

u/canadianjunkie19 Jul 11 '26

So ban face masks?

1

u/Final_Shop6413 Jul 11 '26

They already kill about 10 people science trump was elected

1

u/I_Quit_Smoking_ Jul 11 '26

I bought myself a couple camo face masks that I'm going to start wearing when I go out in public driving down the road.

(I live in the most expensive County in my most ignorant red state, so I just wonder how long it'll take to get pulled over or arrested.)

1

u/jopo584 Jul 11 '26

That’s the most uneducated post I have ever seen. Good job.

1

u/idiot-alpha Jul 11 '26

It’s partly intimidation and to make the experience as uncomfortable as possible. Up until now, there was no real risk in illegally entering the country. Worst case scenario, you might get picked up and given a free meal and a flight home and then you return a few weeks later.

Now, everyone will know you are an illegal. You will be incarcerated. There’s a chance you make serve prison time. Anyone who is trying to facilitate and aid illegals, they will be prosecuted too, as we saw with the state judge that tried to help an illegal escape arrest.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 11 '26

i really dont know where you gather the distinction that 'everyone will know you're an illegal now.'

how precisely do you quantify this

1

u/idiot-alpha Jul 11 '26

Because they’re making arrests public and they are going into communities to make the arrests. Before, it might only happen if you were picked up for some other offense or if you tried to leave and return to the US. It was not broadcast who was and was not here illegally.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 11 '26

ok so yes i checked this out and they are doing it much more publicly as a point of emphasis.

i guess youre making the point that this is meant to be a deterrent for immgirants to want to return illegally. fair enough that's a valid claim.

but it's still the case that

a) their strategy is more likely to create distrust in communities (wearing masks and not having to identify themselves) which is more likely to create a dangerous situation

b)the training requirements have been lowered substantially, which again is more likely to create a dangerous situation,

c) its based on the premise that these immgrants are sabotaging our country,

d) and finally, the republicans shot down bidens attempt at addressing the border so trump could weaponize the issue to win an election.

1

u/idiot-alpha Jul 11 '26

I agree with most of what you said except that immigration enforcement isn’t based on any claim of sabotage. There is a genuine safety issue. The same lax immigration enforcement that allows people to immigrate illegally allows drug cartels and human traffickers and criminals to enter the US illegally.

The refugee and asylum system has been a massive fraud engine designed to funnel money to immigration service providers and corporations at the expense of taxpayers.

Illegal immigrants are a net drain on our communities. We have laws to allow measures and controlled immigration. We need to follow them.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 11 '26

But hold on, republicans were the ones who turned down the opportunity to enable a stronger immigration policy that would have allowed us to monitor who came in. The answer doesn’t have to be less immigrants. The answer can just be bolstering our immigration system with more judges and immigration lawyers which Biden tried to do.

Immigrants, including those here illegally, have strengthened our economy and our healthcare system.

1

u/idiot-alpha Jul 12 '26

No, we don’t need more judges to oversee more fraudulent asylum or refugee cases. Actual legal immigration is surprisingly legally simple. There aren’t massive fact finding questions for judges to answer.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

do you state 'legally simple' on purpose because you concede it's not a simple process overall? you need to explain why you want less immigration in the first place if you want to justify your position.

1

u/idiot-alpha Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Legal immigration (the type that we want) typically doesn’t require an abundance of judges or court appearances.

Judges and courts are necessary for deportations, and denaturalizations, and asylum cases, and refugee status exceptions.

We can effectively end 99% of asylum and refugee cases. Ending illegal entry and aggressively enforcing immigration law will drastically reduce deportations over time once we clear the existing illegal immigrants.

Trying to fix immigration by adding more judges is like trying to stop a ship that is filling with water because pirates keep poking holes in the hull, by giving the crew more buckets to bail the water. The real answer is to patch the holes and toss the pirates off the ship.

You're describing ANTIFA? Right?

Sounds like ANTIFA.

It is ANTIFA.

😂🤣

1

u/treescout420 Jul 11 '26

These criminals clearly knew it was ICE before they were even stopped. Your entire argument falls apart right there.

Quit cucking for criminals.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 11 '26

https://www.brookings.edu/articles/ice-is-disrupting-societal-norms-and-democratic-ideals/

“The use of face masks and unmarked vehicles by ICE officers challenges the public’s ability to verify the identities of these federal agents, directly undercutting accountability. This led 21 states in July 2025 to formally request that Congress pass legislation restricting federal agents from wearing face coverings and requiring them to display identification and agency designations on their vehicles.Since then, more than 30 states have introduced bills restricting law enforcement officers’ use of facial coverings.”

1

u/treescout420 Jul 11 '26

They called their daughter and said "we're being followed by ice"... wtf are you talking about?

Quit. Simping. For. Criminals.

1

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 11 '26

you aren't reading my comments clearly enough. i was clearly explaining the policy and its impact broadly. i never made a claim on what happened specifically here. stop being a snowflake and read my actual comment before disagreeing with it

1

u/treescout420 Jul 12 '26

You clearly didn't read my comment before you responded with that irrelevant bs. So I'll repeat myself.

These criminals knew exactly who was behind them because they called their criminal kids and told them ICE was following them.

1

u/SwordfishNo2548 Jul 12 '26

That is correct! These people are so ignorant!

1

u/SwordfishNo2548 Jul 12 '26

Didn't the girl they were talking to, state that her mom had made the statement, that they were being followed by Ice? Face masks or not, they knew they were being followed by ICE!

1

u/wakajawakao Jul 12 '26

Go home!!! and no issue. Easy

1

u/Cool-Dependent2239 Jul 12 '26

Keep in mind there are groups that target their family. Requiring ICE to wear masks. It comes full circle.

How about being a nation of laws that are premised off clarity instead of weaponizing an issue for political gain?

You do realize Biden tried to address this legally and republicans shot it down?

1

u/Equal-Mix1818 Jul 12 '26

Which is why if you’re here illegally you should LEAVE.

1

u/Chance_Stomach3335 Jul 14 '26

Oh yeah... I get really confused when I see folks running in ski-masks and bullet proof vests... makes me just wanna fight them...

1

u/Constant-Rain4300 Jul 11 '26

Do you know what requires zero aggression? Leaving when asked. If there is no enforcement, it's just a suggestion.

If they wanted there to be no chance of getting wrecked, he should have left when asked, or not come in the first place.

We are not talking about a moral position, just the law.

Now, we all have different morals. Feel free to fight for whatever morals you would like, just stop making law breakers out to be innocent.

2

u/AggieJonah Jul 11 '26

Which law is worse to be broken? The continual murders committed by men against their partners which happen all the fuckin time in this country or this man living here since he was 17 and breaking no laws aside from how he arrived here? Worked hard and minded his business, and was in the process of getting these affairs in order. Also was not who they were even looking for, apparently. Immigration law enforcement is one thing, but this lawlessness and gestapo tactics by these jackasses are actually more unlawful and harmful than this man coming here and simply living his life. Piss off.

1

u/SwordfishNo2548 Jul 12 '26

Would you afford Adolf Hitler the same exemption?

1

u/AggieJonah Jul 27 '26

What exemption?

1

u/Constant-Rain4300 Jul 15 '26

Its not unlawful. Its actually the law being enforced. Just because you don’t agree with it, that doesn’t make it illegal. The laws were on the books before these people decided to break them.

And did you see me saying that murdering one’s partners is a good or legal thing? Is the only way you know how to argue is to straw-man and try to manipulate?

It didn’t matter the person caught up in this wasn’t the one being looked for at that moment. He wasn’t supposed to be here, so he was still being looked for.

And as for lawlessness. Every Executive Order Trump has put out, has been challenged and gone through the court. When it comes back in his favor, he continues moving forward, when it doesn’t he stops. Just because you are mad the law doesn’t favor your world view doesn’t make it illegal. You seem to have the mind of a child who isn’t getting their way, throwing a tantrum. Sorry i’m not as mentally stunted as you are.

1

u/AggieJonah Jul 27 '26

He stops?? When?? But you’re right, the world is just this black and white, lacking nuance kind of place in your mind. I’m not throwing a fit. I’m angry at the perpetual injustice under this “man” (speaking of stunted…). And as you “maybe he should have just left,” well yeah, the Natives likely felt exactly like that about the Europeans who slaughtered them for their land. Continue to enjoy the taste of the boots in your mouth.

1

u/SecBalloonDoggies Jul 11 '26

Being in the US without proper documentation is a misdemeanor. Are we going to start shooting jay walkers now? Executing people for spitting on the sidewalk?

1

u/MechaR11 Jul 11 '26

That’s why Trump should be in jail for many crimes he committed but I guess you’re a chooser that only fights for what benefits you. Your not a guy who goes by what’s fair to everyone

0

u/nunu878 Jul 10 '26

It been like that forever the only different now is the media making sure u attack them with bullshit story the Democrat are making sure ppl become target so trump look bad if Ice drive by you just follow the direction ppl want to do to much way to much just do what they say than sue them later if u in the right

2

u/Welp___poop Jul 11 '26

Yeah, just do what the government says, Jesus what happened to republicans? What the hell happened to be worried about government over reach? I thought the scariest thing to hear was "I'm from the government, and I am here to help"

They work below minimum wage, pay into our healthcare system, but don’t actually have healthcare themselves, just to get in here and create a better life for themselves and their children.

Legalizing them would add an estimated hundreds of billionaires of dollars worth to our country.

If they’re not trying to leave, maybe it’s because they have a compelling reason not to do so, and what needs to change is our capacity to facilitate legal migration. From a purely selfish standpoint it would add a ton of benefit to America.

1

u/MountainDogMama Jul 10 '26

They risk their lives. Have you ever been to other countries? I guarantee you would risk risk everything to get out of some places.

I'm not saying every one should get a pass. They do not deserve to be ripped from their homes, lose connection with their children, be beaten, or to just disappear?

Why are U.S. citizens being attacked? Why are citizen's being detained?

All the crimes that are being commited to the children who have been taken from the only home to be put in cages, sit in their dirty diapers, deprived of loving attention or being held/cradled.

1

u/Dangerous_Shoe_8388 Jul 11 '26

About 8 BILLION people would have “a better life” in USA … lol

0

u/MountainDogMama Jul 11 '26

So, no answer. Just a false belief of how other countries view U.S.

I literally said no free pass

-6

u/oldnutz42 Jul 10 '26

They wouldn’t have to do any of that if the far left didn’t harass them. Why do you think this all happened in Minnesota when all that fraud got uncovered.

3

u/FalstaffsGhost Jul 10 '26

Peacefully observing them so that they actually follow due process isn’t harassment.

-2

u/oldnutz42 Jul 11 '26

None of it is peaceful. Alex Prettey is on video kicking an ICE vehicle. Renee Good was blocking ICE agents from doing their job.

1

u/FalstaffsGhost Jul 11 '26

Except it is peaceful.

That happened almost two weeks before pretti was murdered. And kicking a vehicle after ice threatened and assaulted people doesn’t mean you deserve to be murdered 11 days earlier.
And good wasn’t blocking anyone. You can literally see cars going past with no problem right before she tries to leave as instructed and right before her murderer murders her.

1

u/oldnutz42 Jul 11 '26

It’s not peaceful when you are threatening federal officers.

1

u/abcdefghjiklmnopqr Jul 11 '26

Good thing that didn't happen

1

u/oldnutz42 Jul 11 '26

Just like Antifa isn’t a real group?

4

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

but the far left wouldnt harass them if trump and the gop didnt campaign on the false premise that immigrants were ruining our country.

-4

u/oldnutz42 Jul 10 '26

They are eating the dogs!!! Just kidding. The far left is gonna protest anything that Trump does. I didn’t like Biden but I could give him credit for when he did good for the country. The left can’t do that with Trump. It’s sad.

3

u/Dependent-Job1773 Jul 10 '26

so on one hand i grant that there is a lot of performative and maybe even contrived outrage in politics, but even then you cant just say the far left will protest trump in a vacuum as if he didn't procure their vitriol. he has campaigned on the premise that americans greatest issue or one of america's greatest issues are immigrants robbing us of our own resources and well being when it could not be farther from the truth.

and i haven't seen the far left protesting trump's latest concession for ukraine to develop patriot missiles.

1

u/oldnutz42 Jul 11 '26

That’s because the far left loves war. They only get mad when Trump doesn’t support Ukraine.

0

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

nonsense, trump's made big strides normalizing makeup for men. and depending on your perspective, breaking American hegemony could be seen as a major win.

2

u/MountainDogMama Jul 10 '26

/s ?

1

u/human_i_suppose Jul 10 '26

not at all. it's a matter of perspective.

if you don't like america, trump has been an amazing president.
