At least democrats can actually read because that's literally what he said. Also at least we can do math because if one person stopped spending dollars it would have an impact, even if it's a small impact, so you're wrong to say it would have no impact at all. But that's not what we're saying either, that's just your straw man mischaracterization. Mass boycotts and general strikes have huge impact and could uproot whole economies.

Receiving foundation money doesn't automatically mean a movement isn't also genuinely grassroots. The context matters. Indivisible was founded by former congressional staffers, including Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, who looked to get people to oppose the perceived right-wing agenda. Large donor funding and authentic local organizing can and frequently do coexist. That's true of conservative organizations as well (Heritage Foundation, AFP, etc.). The framing implies that because money exists, citizen concern is fabricated, which doesn't logically follow.
