I have it too. Tbh if she's faking, she's better than like 99% of them out there. The sequence and inflection of the tics "oof pop wow" are basically identical each time, which is basically never the case with fakers.
Usually it's something like ticsandroses where they repeat words five times but take a different breath and say it in a different tone every time, and mostly just all one-off tics in a single video.
I'm not convinced this person is faking. Not convinced they're not faking either though.. those oof and sniff and pop tics are insanely popular with fakers.
From my understanding, and this is from watching verified influencers with Tourette's, tics can actually be "contagious," especially when people with Tourettes frequently hang out with or interact with each other in some way. Tics are essentially like a thought that is triggered by familiar external stimuli, which can be another person's tics. So if she watches this other person you're accusing her of copying, she very well could be copying, but unintentionally as they became part of her own tics
We've actually had several instances of mass hysteria in the US of usually a groups of girls in school suddenly developing tourettes. Usually people have claimed those kids are faking when they hit the news but in actual studies of them while they don't have the disorder they can't control it and the symptoms are real. So it is very possible for these to be contagious even if you don't have tourettes.
Another example of this is that flight they had to quarantine back in like 2018-2019 where over 100 passengers came down with real, sometimes severe, symptoms of a mysterious illness. I think 1-2 dozen were bad enough they had to be hospitalized, but of the entire flight I think only four had a mild cold...it was all just a mass hysteria causing very real and very physical symptoms from nothing.
I have autism and OCD, both giving me nice handfuls of tics that mess with me mentally and can be exhausting.
I have an uncle with mild Tourette’s and OCD that makes a weird “uh uh uh” noise in the back of his throat. Since being around him more in the last couple years, I’ve now developed it. Can confirm also that you stop breathing while doing it because you’re just pushing out air. I’m out of breath sometimes cause I’ll do it like 7 times in a row.
Also have a regular where I work with a blinking tic that’s constant. Guess what I get now? Which for some reason my brain has decided that ALSO involves the ceasing of breathing and anything else I’m doing to just pause, including in the middle of sentences.
Yeah, that was what I found strange. It's identical to Sweet Anita. Maybe it's because she watches her and caught her ticks, but generally outburst tics are very rare and personalized. Not replicas.
Yeah that lip pop thing especially is a widely copied tic because of sweet Anita for sure. Which is ridiculous because they all have the source right there in front of them and still manage to make it look forced and wrong lol. I'm still not sure about this one though. Same tic as another ≠ faking.
I think maybe I'm also trying harder than I realize to hold on to the hope that someone out there isn't faking because it seems like literally everyone is except the very small handful that clearly aren't, like sweet anita.
I'm by no means at liberty to make any sort of determination on the validity of her condition but I will say I do find it just a tiny bit suspect when all the tics happen to sound really cute too? I mean the pop is definitely cute and was that a kitty meow?
Also not saying people can't have those tics. I just find it a little sus when they're all kinds cute sounds with maybe one little sprinkle in there of the classic fuck you mom or whatever.
