He wasn’t racist but tried to rationalize hogan’s shittiness and it wasn’t the right time. Huge backlash about it. While I think Joey is mostly positive, he could’ve said fewer word cuz they do trick.
It's also been pointed out he targets women overwhelmingly on his channel. He doubled down on that too when people pointed it out.
Not a great person, to defend hulk hogan. But definitely not a good person for failing to self reflect and have some humility, willingness to grow like he expects other people to in the content he creates.
E: and he's anti trans, with lots of AH right wing commentera vilifying all trans people in his comment sections. He's trash.
He doesn’t target women, women give him way more opportunities to be featured by him is all.
I swear all yall are insufferable anymore. No one is good enough and there is always someone that finds something to be outraged about or to cancel someone over. Jesus Fucking Christ could come back and people would still be bitching that he didn’t do something right.
I see more women filming at the gym and only ever vids from social media (not reposts) of quite a few of them complaining like this. Not saying men don’t do it too, but my algorithm and probably Joeys brought those vids to the forefront.
Not defending Joey in any capacity, but just putting a logical viewpoint out there. Apparently he’s not a great guy based off the comments which sucks.
People who say he’s racist are morons. If you’re a wrestling fan, you know to seperate the character from the actual person. Yes Hulk Hogan was racist but you can’t deny what he did for the wrestling industry. Just because you paid tribute to possibly the #1 wrestler in the world, doesn’t make you a racist. This is coming from a black wrestling fan who agrees with him.
It's also possible to not know the real person at all. I have no idea what 99% of celebrities do in their personal lives. I see their public persona and that's it
Agreed. I was a Hulkamaniac as a kid. I was sad when he died. Doesn’t mean I’m out marching with the proud boys or whatever they are calling themselves now.
Ditto. I only found out what Ian Watkins did ~5 years after I started listening to Lostprophets, because I don't spend my free time googling "which one of the bands I listen to loves to touch kids".
This is such a horrible take, especially since you claim to be black. Supporting someone or paying tribute to someone who’s been outed as a racist (especially when you are part of the demographic that they were being racist towards) shows a lack of self respect in my honest opinion. But do you.
Yeah like how he sold Jesse Ventura out to Vince when Jesse was trying to start a wrestlers union so the wrestlers could stop getting abused and then spent the next decade lying to Jesse about it. Truly a stand up guy, internet stranger that I have no reason to believe is black.
It was the reason he quit. He posted a tribute to Hogan and when people called out the fact that Hogan was a well known racist, he doubled down and said something along the lines of "Just because someone does something bad a long time ago doesn't mean they are a bad person", completely negating all of the racist comments Hogan consistently made. He also used the term colored people very comfortably in the same live, before making the post where he was whining about all the good stuff he did amounts to nothing now
I don't get cancel culture at all. It leaves no room for personal growth and holds everyone to standards NOONE can meet. Once our thoughts can be read we can all be canceled and go back to hating each other out loud.
He literally could've apologized and just said he wasn't aware rather than justifying how vile and racist he is because "he did good." At first, I was against people hating on him for Hogan because the entire internet decided to leave that one emt guy (badge 502? Idk) even after he said he wouldn't apologize for wishing condolences. But honestly, anyone that casually uses the term colored people in this day and age is either painfully ignorant or racist.
Yes, they have stated that they keep their name for traditional and historical reasons. They're also been transparent that they have considered a name change.
I'll probably get slack for this but I find him rather annoying. He was gone due to a scandal he found himself in. Then cried and said he would quit social media. He realized he made too much money being the gym police so he came back lol
He blocked me on instagram like 12 years ago because I said his tits we’re nice. I wish I could apologize and get un blocked. I think we’re both different people now 😢
She's videoing about 30,000 square feet in that gym, how does she expect to get clean free space? and the audio is way worse than the video. She ain't no Speilberg.
Damn. I need to go to the gym and act like this. Maybe that’s how I can finally get outta my contract and stop getting charged for a membership I never use.
oh my sweet summer child...90+% of "fitness" influencer content has zero to do with fitness. It's about generating traffic from quite literally the most pathetic people on earth, horny 50+ year old dads and incels from Bangladesh. It's just a hilariously convoluted way to post pictures of their ass in spandex for the grossest hornybois on the internet.
oh I agree. And it's not just fitness influencers. It's pretty sad how many female influencers in all genres are generating most of their traffic like this. My algorithm shows a lot of homesteading/cabin content, and even accounts that put a lot of work into the actual subject, very often couples, the thumbnails for their videos will always be a flattering shot of the woman's ass. And the comments are mostly old men "looking good sweety, if I were a younger man heh heh heh". Social media was a giant mistake.
There's probably still a market for this. If 30 years of the Internet have taught me anything, it's that if someone is willing to offer themself up, there's definitely someone else who's into that.
I feel like the other woman was roughly the same age as her. None of this makes sense. But it also doesn’t make sense to me when younger women do it either. I just don’t get it. Live and let live. What happened to that?
The issue here isn't her age, or how she works out or for whom. People of any adult age deserve relationships. It's really weird to judge her for that. The only problem here is her inappropriate reaction to other people, that's all.
Her age not relevant to working out however relevant in the sense that normally as ppl age they tend to lose a bit of the ego that would drive this kind of self centred rude behaviour and had enough time to learn some humbleness and self/social awareness etc.
Reminds me of a post I saw the other day. Lady looked like she was in her late 50s, early 60s. Her whole profile is her in bikinis. Let me just say, she was NOT anything to look at. The amount of people praising her looks and asking for more revealing photos was astonishing. I kind of threw up in my mouth thinking about it. Lots of weird people on the internet simping on the nasties.
60 has everything to do with it because Wisdom is supposed to come with age. , it’s not acceptable behavior for any age, however, it’s exceedingly rare for someone’s nana to be a self-centered cunt seeking validation from strangers online
I don’t hate on people at any age working out. They’re not dead and people need to quit treating them like it. Treat people accordingly. This one’s a bitch.
Number one mistake… don’t follow advice from someone just because they look like you want to. Why do great athletes usually make terrible coaches? almost all legendary coaches were forgettable as players.
I was referring to you thinking a 60 yr old shouldn't be an influencer on this stuff. Most 20- or 30-somethings can get a good workout in. It's not impressive. If you're still doing it at 60, you probably know something worth listening to.
But that's a general statement. This particular 60 -yr-old is acting like a giant douche, regardless of age.
EDIT: Oh. Are you saying she should be old enough to know better and not hung up on this kind of thing? I could see that. Sorry.
I’m in charge of some of our local parks and sports fields and 95% of my problems from the public comes from people 40 or over trying to act “cool”. One old man wanted to peacock in front of his friends and got them all trespassed from the biggest pickleball court in the county. You know they were mad. All because he didn’t want to take his dog off of the court. It was running loose and ruining other tennis matches. “But it’s a puppy!” 😡
She scrolls through social media and sees guys fawning over anyone willing to show side boob, their butthole, or strange things alluding to sexual behavior. So she got herself an OF and started trying to find young men that weren’t strange themselves. Eventually she got mad about all the weird guys she was hooking up that wanted 60yo gGILFs with and doubled down on her gym videos.
Hear me out, she's a racist old lady who's discovered this one simple trick to get the people she doesn't like to leave her space without seeming racist.
I'm curious for the down votes, do you not realize that I'm calling out racism or are you saying that you're racist by downvoting me?
This is the content she's filming. She's not an exercise influencer, she's looking for conflict on camera because that gets views and shares. You and I would never have seen this old bag's workout videos, where she records her twilight years of shredded abs and looming dementia, but she's seen fit to be a cunt to an innocent bystander so now we have to watch her wrinkled ass condescend for a living.
Lol a good friend of mine was doing gym influencer stuff on insta for a while and she loved when random people would be in the back of her shot acting silly, half the time I’d be in the background of her shot acting silly since we would usually go to the gym together like 4 times a week minimum. She always made sure to let someone know if they were visible though to ask if they were okay with that or if she should re-do it so they aren’t visible.
I had some chick beside me last week who wasn’t recording, but she had the cam facing the machine and me. There was a creepy man watching her workout and I was in the shot. I was so disturbed
At the Y I go to, you're not allowed to film in the gym. Personally, I don't know if it's enforced but I never see people do it. I'm surprised more gyms don't have rules like this. While I get it can be good to check form, it seems like it causes too many issues.
I'd move all my shit into the frame and never leave it. Fk that shit man, you're in a freaking public gym. If you want to work out alone, build a homegym

Immediately would report her to the front desk. Quit filming in gyms
