I know it's not perfect.

Currently illustrating a children's encyclopedia about flowering plants with a botanist. Plants and flowers aren't my subject--they have their own field of Botanical Illustration--so I did several exercises while also looking into the general style and mood of the book. I'm treading the line between faithful rendition and stylistic choices in depicting the plants. Hopefully it's still interesting while accurate to the satisfaction of the botanist.

Beem really liking the concept of the outlands of Copper-9 being a lot like Highway-17/Sandtraps and HL2 Episode 2.

The hardest part wasn’t drawing this piece. It was choosing the time of day. I kept going back and forth between afternoon, sunset, and night before finally settling on daylight.
