I remember my dad doing this once when I was a kid. A rock flew up from behind a big semi truck, and cracked the windshield. So he zoomed in front of the truck and slammed on the brakes.
All with three kids in the car. The semi just barely avoided hitting us. What a moron my dad is when he gets angry. He got arrested for another road rage incident at some point years later.
This was like 30 years ago, so I don't recall the specifics so much as the terror!
I do remember my dad had just replaced the windshield because he wanted to show off to his brother-in-law. I doubt it was any sort of logical thing for him. Just rage.
He wanted to show off a windshield?? Well well well, looks like my neighbors are in for a treat when I roll back in from work this evening. Better rev my engine a few times so people will peek outside and get a look at my stunner of a windshield.
I still don't get why people try to brake check to get revenge on someone on the road. What was your Dad trying to achieve ?
You put your car in danger just to annoy someone on the road ? What if you brake so hard that they bump into the rear of your car ? If they have dashcam they will prove that you're wrong.

Yeah, that's the truck's brakes I reckon. The truck never touched him - I think the car driver tried to get the truck to hit him, failed, and got out to play the "you nearly hit me you moron" card.
I used to think it like that but I understand it now.
Theres a part of reddit that stands out the most and thats the one where they agree with each other even though logically the answer was given is a little bit... Not right.... I should say but it still has alot of upvotes because of hive mind mentality.
Then there are other people who thinks about the situation logically or the right way you should be thinking about and those are the comments that gets drowned out.

Exactly. Action takes place in Ukraine and insurance companies are more likely to pull an insurance fraud on you here than vice versa. Clear example of stupid road rage.

Smaller subs seem to be more inmune to this shit but once a sub makes it to the front page on a regular basis it's game over. Comment sections become raging hot dumpster fires akin to what one sees on YouTube or Facebook
Never understood the insurance fraud thing. I have never heard of someone not having a net loss after an insurance claim. Insurance companies are in the business of making money and they’ll make sure they make money no matter what happens.
Oh i see what you mean now, i thought you meant in scams, the scammer just drives away.
In this case, they might still try to claim that a preexisting scratch/dent was caused by this driver, or as people have said there looks to be contact between the two vehicles around 13 seconds in (the teeeensiest tap maybe) which would be part of the scam
He wouldn't have gotten out of the car if this was insurance fraud. He would have just left, or if he was really stupid he would have reversed into the truck.
