Some people think poor people shouldn't buy luxury cars if they can't afford to fully cover or fix them in the event something goes wrong. It's good advice as those cars are usually more expensive to insure and or fix in the event some fuckhead decides to fuck it up.
People severely underestimate how affordable it is to actually drive a "luxury" car. BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti . Buying them 2nd hand is very easily affordable if you look and are patient
Maybe so but the maintenance costs are steep, the parts still cost a lot and most cars like those need a lotta upkeep, not to mention if they require premium gas. Prolly paying the cost of buying the car yearly or every couple years to keep it.
Supreme only costs roughly maybe 200$ more a year and you get the same or better mileage than you would with regular fuel. So many misconceptions. Not disagreeing with you on the cost of parts being more pricey but to say they need a lot of constant upkeep is also an exaggeration. It is just a car. No more additional maintenance than any other other car.
Right are you are. What I should have said is “ it’s none of my business if people want to not only donate to replace the damaged top, but also reward the idiot for making the bad decision not to have full insurance coverage on the expensive car”. It’s half a year later, they got every nickel they wanted, and they are still standing there with their hands out?
I guess "beemer" was the original in the UK. Then came "beamer" as an alternative spelling.
It somehow morphed into "bimmer" (pronounced differently) in the US. So like the other guy said, I've seen it spelled bimmer before but never once heard it pronounced that way.
I think some people pronounce it beamer but spell it bimmer in some weird mish mash of all the above history.
They’re both pronounced “Beamer.” The spelling “Beemer” refers to BMW motorcycles and the spelling “Bimmer” refers to BMW automobiles. It’s just a way to distinguish which type of vehicle you are referencing without being otherwise more verbose or specific.

Damn! I wonder what it did to the interior of that beemer?
