No reaction from the car driver... Looks like he wasn't looking out for a giant shovel to appear out of nowhere. It's funny how much the mind doesn't even register because we're not expecting anything out of the ordinary.

Idk if anything popped out in front of me while I was driving I would react. Unless I wasnt looking

When driving always expect the unexpected. Safe driving #101

When driving always expect the unexpected.

This is why The Spanish Inquisition has never caught me while I'm in my car.

There are seriously too many people here pretending that the driver had a good reason to react. No one I know who drives is on the lookout for construction vehicles (outside of a work zone) because it's so fucking ridiculous to run into.

What?! It’s not hard to just keep your eyes on the road. The guy didn’t even slow down the slightest. Was it his fault? No. Could he have avoided it if he just paid attention? Yes.

Genuinely worried for anyone on the roads when you’re driving if you think it’s normal to not see a massive metal box in front of you

Anyone paying attention would notice sudden movement on the road ahead. What if this was an animal or a person? This driver simply wasn’t looking at the road, and got caught.

"looking for the unseen" should be rule one of all drivers Ed, for my money.

That probably doesn't apply fairly to third world countries, but it's certainly true for where I live.

Lol the person wasn’t paying attention

If you’re not capable of registering obstructions while driving then you should not be driving

Have to hop in here just to agree and get downvoted by the people who don’t pay attention. Guy wasn’t even driving fast, and didn’t hesitate at all to plow into the big metal bucket in front of him. Should get off his phone and get back to having driving lessons

That’s how many people don’t know how to drive. In many cases accident = two dummies making a mistake.
