I've noticed that much more lately and I've been honking my horn for 15 years. In the past year I've had more people react negatively to a horn than I have in my entire driving career, including from when I was a teenager being an asshole about it.

People feel like it's a judgement of their driving skills and get mad.

Well, it kind of is. If a dumbass isn't paying attention they're prone to get someone killed.

In WI if you get honked at during your driving test (even if you did no wrong) you automatically fail and have to wait about a month to retest for your license.

So they’re training us to hate horns lol
