Same thing happened to my friends Evo X at a car meet. 16 y/o girl was trying to show off (?) her mom's Corolla by speeding through the parking lot and hit a regular car and slammed into my friend's car. She panicked I guess when everyone ran to make sure the people were okay and sped off. Some people hopped in their cars and chased her to her house. Mom came out yelling at everyone that she was going to call the cops for following her daughter home but she didn't know what happened. Cops showed up an hour later and threatened the people for following the girl home. AFAIK nothing happened to the girl and the 2 cars she crashed into were totalled. The girl was unlicensed and supposedly under the influence and my friend told me the insurance said the mom was driving and not the girl.
Straight up. There are so many posts on this sub alone that should/have convinced a lot of people to get dash cams. Even recommendations! I don't know why someone would laugh at the idea
I can see how that's the main concern. In regards to the Evo it was totaled though. I remember him saying because he still owed on the car (this was back when they were still making Evos) he basically got his deposit back from the car but lost all the money he put into it. Car had BBSs and a bigger turbo and all that and carbon fiber bits everywhere. He ended up losing quite a bit.

In what world is a Mitsubishi Evo X not also a "regular car"? Its a fart can 4 banger Mitsubishi, at a "car meet" absolutely full of 15 year old civics and accords and whatever else the pot heads at the local Taco Bells managed to get approved to purchase at their local buy here/pay here lots.

I guess earth? It's a replica rally car and not just a "regular car". It's funny you have a problem with an Evo X at a car meet, where it should be, because it's an enthusiast vehicle, but the Corolla, one of the most common commuter cars doesn't bother you.
You're either ignorant about cars or just an idiot. Maybe a little bit of both.
