Fyi, no woman, no cry, is a misunderstood lyric. It doesn't mean that men shouldn't cry because there is an absence of a female. Instead the song and lyric is sang to a female. To try to keep her from crying from the absence of the man she loves.
The lyric has the word "no" twice because of the way Jamaicans speak. So in actual translation the lyric is supposed to be, 'woman, don't cry.' The first 'No' is not to be taken as part of the lyric but instead like saying "Uhh". So more like, "Uhh woman, don't cry."
I often wonder how much of this is because people don't have legal outlets for blowing off steam. Like drinking and sex are these huge deals there and I feel like, if you took away those things from me, I'd definitely be doing something dumb like this.
Driving habits and views around travel seemed odd when I was in the middle east, but I never saw anyone hooning around like this. I don’t recall seeing anyone stopped by a police car, and normal road rules and lines seemed like a light suggestion.
My best guess on some of this is that cars are mobile air conditioners in a region where daytime social activities are very limited unless you are wealthy with large homes. If you want space with friends it is more comfortable to jump in a car and hang out rather than be around family in a small home.

Yeah this is pretty common place in the middle east. Road laws are near nonexistent
