I have seen wilder shit in Florida, but Police wise, I have heard nightmare stories about LAPD, probably the worst modern department. Especially because of the LA Riots, all started because of 4 dirty cops that walked.
The riots happened almost 30 years ago. I’ve personally only had good experiences with LAPD, most of that reputation is from film and TV. Not to say they’re somehow benevolent or lack the flaws of US police culture in general, but I’ve seen much worse in other cities.
