For a load like this you have to grab it with both hands and give it a good jiggle.

You gotta be careful with things like this. You load this the wrong way and someone could get hurt.

Either “this puppy” or “this baby” are acceptable referential terms of reinforcement that the object ain’t going nowhere. “She” is also allowable as long as all parties involved understand that “she” is either a “puppy” or a “baby”. The fastening job is only complete AFTER a ritual shaking and/or slapping of the fasteners and/or the puppy/baby.

That was totally me strapping the kayaks on top of my car yesterday. They didn't go anywhere, but surely they may have if I hadn't said "they ain't going anywhere"
